The restful Restfowl Lake Cottage gets its name from being the Middlefork Waterfowl Resting Area on Lake Monroe. It is a bird watchers paradise and is open to boats from April 1st through October 1st.

Very nice and relaxing place and almost everything is new. So many nice touches and items provided for your stay. Another review did mention to bring some drinking water, and we would agree. It was nice to stay in a pet friendly location that was clean and had no pet odor. We enjoyed the little radio and light to take out to the hot tub in the evenings. The patio, fireplace, and hot tub do face another property, but we were lucky and there was no one there at the time. The property is a distance from the nearest town but that is what made the location so peaceful. It was a good location to watch birds and can see the lake from the porch/house. We would stay again.

Overall, very satisfied. Bring your own drinking water. Clean neat , peaceful quiet. Lake is probably a quarter mile from property.

Reservations can be cancelled with no charge or penalty, except for the non-refundable deposit, a full 15 days
prior to the scheduled check-in date. Cancellations within 14 days or less of the scheduled arrival date will not be
refunded for any reason. All cancellations must be made through the website or through email communication.

Deposit Policy
To confirm a reservation Moondance Vacation Rentals requires a nonrefundable deposit of $50 to be paid at the time the dates are secured. This deposit goes toward the reservation total. Taxes and processing (15%) and the damage waiver fee will be added to the rental amount. Payment in full is required 7 days prior to the check in date. Moondance Vacation Rentals will automatically charge the balance due to the original card on file 7 days prior to the check in date. Reservations made within 7 days of the check in date will be paid in full at the time the reservation is made. Special arrangements can be made if paying by cashier’s check or cash but the entire balance must be received 10 days before the check in date.
