Lemon Ridge Lodge

Had a lovely few days at the cabin! Very cool, private location that feels peaceful but not too isolated. There is a big gate on the porch that turns the porch into a great dog run. Looking forward to staying again next time we’re in town.

I enjoyed my stay at the lodge! There was easy access to Lake Lemon. The place was very nice and clean with beautiful views.

My boyfriend and I had the best two days here. With 5 kids between us we are always looking for a quick trip for the two of us to decompress and this place beyond delivered! We loved the ability to hike and then jump in the hot tub and then drive into town for dinner and a sweet treat! Everything was so conveniently located and the home was just as lovely as it’s photographed. We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a quiet escape, this home is outstanding. Be sure to visit service stations and get groceries on your way in.

The Porthole Inn (five minute walk) has great food, a great bar, friendly servers, and great live music!

Great, secluded spot for a relaxing long weekend!

We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary here with our 4 friends and it was perfect. The house was beautiful with even better views and provided a weekend of peace and relaxation we definitely needed. Eric was very helpful and friendly. The house and hot tub were spotless and well maintained. We really enjoyed the game room/ bar basement and didn’t feel like we had to venture out to keep ourselves entertained. 10/10 recommend and would come back again next year.

We loved our stay here! The wrap-around porch was perfect for sitting outside, the hot tub was the perfect temperature, and the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies. Our dog loved getting to observe all the wildlife! We would absolutely come back.

This is my third stay with moon dance vacation homes and have never been disappointed. The lemon ridge cabin tops it all. So beautiful and spacious. The quiet and peaceful surroundings is amazing. I give it 10 stars out of five. Even the lady checking in on the hot tub was so pleasant and respectful. I stayed 5 nights and it still wasn’t enough. Can’t say enough about how pleasant of an experience staying at moondance property’s. My goal is to stay at all of them

Relaxing stay, great to be in nature, fun cabin

what a beautiful and peaceful setting. We so enjoyed our time there sitting out on the deck and listening to the wildlife and looking at the stars =. It was really great! The place was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space and lots of fun things to do.

This cabin was very private but not far from town. We loved the wrap-around porch and that it had a gate you could close to keep in a toddler. We used the grill and ate dinner outside on the deck. The basement was also a fun place to pass time- it had a shuffleboard and foosball table. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and cookware but very sparse on spices (no cooking oil) compared to some others I’ve stayed in. Everything seemed very clean but the water was cloudy so we didn’t drink it. Nothing said it was unsafe to drink so probably just personal preference. Overall a good stay for a young couple with a toddler! Thank you for having us 🙂

The property was as described in the listing. It is a truly beautiful property with that provided privacy and tranquility. Our party had five adults, a 16 year old, a two year old and 2 dogs. We had plenty of space to enjoy each other’s company without feeling crowded. The lower level has a big sectional couch, a foosball table and a shuffleboard, with tables and a bar. It was fun hanging out down there. We also took advantage of the fire pit and walked around the property. Our two year old went wild on the wrap around porch which came equipped with a gate so he could run all around outside without the possibility of running off. It was a nice place. We will return.

Our stay was wonderful.
Came to the area for my step daughters wedding. Cabin was clean and had everything needed. Wild life could be seen/ heard from the porch at all times. Even saw a mongoose while there.

Loved the cabin! Great location, private and peaceful. Comfy beds, beautiful patio and nearby woods. The basement area is fantastic! Will definitely return! My only true concern is the hot tub, it needs to be serviced. The jets are weak and it’s too loud when your not using it. The control panel is very wonky and confusing. It’s basically just hot water when you’re in the tub. If they update the hot tub this place would be perfect. Overall a wonderful and peaceful place to book!

We stayed at the Lemon Ridge property in Unionville last weekend for graduation. It was a terrific property and allowed our family a great place to gather and just be us! Good amenities, comfy beds, plenty of linens and towels, and kitchen stocked very well. Great spot.

This property reminds me of one of Rod Crossman's paintings of a secluded cabin in the woods that is pure beauty in nature. Wonderful place to stay. If your looking for a log cabin that has all the amenities one could wish for, your in luck.

The cabin is gorgeous. it was incredible.

We extended our stay because this place was so PERFECT! Our family of five had plenty of room to spread out when we needed and had great family time too. Our 2 dogs LOVED the wraparound porch with gate. The fire ring kept us busy and warm for hours and hours. So glad we brought the axes to split fire wood together.

Just 15 minutes on a beautifully wooded and windy road got us into Bloomington. It was the perfect distance away. We also enjoyed Porthole Inn's pizza and catfish one night when we were too tired to cook or go into town. It's literally 2 minutes from the cabin.

We had a GREAT time at Lemon Ridge Cabin this week ... even extended our stay because the place was so perfect. Hours around the fire ring splitting wood together and plenty of time in the hot tub relaxing!

The second visit was as good as the first. Peaceful setting especially with the wood burning fireplace and wrap around porch. Great place to get away and only a short drive to Nashville, IN. The first snow made it extra special and pretty.

The cabin and location were just as described. Very peaceful and beautiful setting. We saw deer pass close by and enjoyed coffee on the wraparound porch. Great way to slow down and enjoy nature. Lovely stay.

We had a great time at this cabin and as others have stated, the listing doesn't quite do it justice. The basement has a bunch of games for kids of all ages and the location is nice and secluded

We have stayed in two Moondance properties (Dogwood Hills and Lemon Ridge Lodge) and had amazing times at both! Clean, well decorated, safe, cozy, all the “extras” are there for our use - games, puzzles, kitchen items, blankets…you name it they probably have it! We will continue to stay with Moondance, exploring their different properties along the way!

We’ve used Moondance a few years now and they do a great job on all their homes!

The house was beautiful and clean. Area is fantastic. Better to stay in a house like this when visiting IU than to stay at an overpriced hotel.

We enjoyed sharing the cabin with friends. The hot tub added a nice touch!

Overall our experience was good. The lodge is very nice and secluded. You'll want to make sure you bring enough groceries in one trip otherwise it's an adventure to the nearest store. The managers were very responsive to our messages and I appreciate the quick responses.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was easy check in process.

A clean cabin in a great location with lots to do

Looking for a beautiful getaway this cabin tucked away in the woods is where it’s at. It’s so relaxing and peaceful plus watching the wildlife from the hot tub from the porch. The view of Lake Lemon is extremely beautiful. Definitely will return for the fall.

We had hoped to explore the property, but weather mandated indoor activities. You can see everything outside in this cabin. We enjoyed watching fawns eat, meeting a large turtle while taking the dogs out and just zoning out while gazing out at the wooded beauty around us. The cabin itself is incredible. Wrap around deck was huge and even had a gate to keep our small dogs from wandering off. Lovely stay. Would recommend!

Overall, great stay! We enjoyed our nights by the fire pit, hiked the properties land, grilled on the deck, and hiked at a local state park. My family enjoyed themselves and that’s all that matters.

Nice cabin in an idyllic location. We had a few snafus during our stay (e.g., a light switch that had to be reset by maintenance), but host was responsive and did what they could as quickly as they could. The road the cabin is on is a gravel road, and the place is up a bit of a hill, but my Prius managed it OK (just watch out for bottoming-out spots!). Nashville is great and is about 25 minutes away to the southeast. Bloomington is about 15/20 minutes southwest. The cabin location, though, is in the forest near the lake, and it’s quiet and lovely.

Our family loved this place! One thing not seen in pictures that we ending up doing was the foosball table and shuffleboard in the basement! Cabin is secluded and only a couple miles from Lake Lemon - you can pay 10 dollars to swim at the beach there. Definitely a nice getaway for families. This provided us with enough space to spread apart and do our own thing yet small enough to sit around and play cards and spend quality family time. Wonderful place to make memories!

Was a honeymoon weekend! All good and a nice location, did fun stuff. Only prob was the last renters left a fishy refrigerator.

If you plan to cook much in the kitchen, be prepared with much of your own stuff. They didn’t have a can opener and the serving implements were limited. Other than that, the house and decks were very enjoyable to our group!

A large cabin fit for 2 families close to lake activities and beautiful trails ! We enjoyed a place to relax while enjoying graduation at nearby IU. 15 minutes from IU and 1 hour from Indy airport. Wish we could have done more lake activities, but perhaps sometime in the future.

This cabin is a perfect weekend getaway. Playhouse, games, and Disney+ for kids. Hot tub, fireplace, and well appointed kitchen for adults. Close to great trails, Nashville, and Bloomington.

This place lived up to all the pictures on the site. It was immaculate and secluded, perfect for a quiet getaway. We will definitely come back again! Note: non paved roads to the place so choose vehicle accordingly. Loved the spacious cabin/rustic feel. The kitchen was fully stocked with all "tools" necessary to cook a great meal! The hot tub was clean and the views are relaxing. The overall stay was quiet and peaceful. Great place for a family with a club house in the back yard and games in the lower portion of the cabin. The communication with the host answered all of our questions before and during our stay quickly!

We enjoyed staying at the Lemon Ridge cabin! It was roomy. Beautiful and cozy! We loved the large covered porch. Well supplied. Nice and quiet hardly any traffic maybe 2 cars per day. We are returning in April of 22 with more family!

The home is extremely spacious & has a great cabin vibe. The decor is very cozy & has a great layout. The only downside was that there were quite a few dead bugs (granted that comes with the territory to some extent…..being in a woodsy location) & cobwebs that could’ve easily been taken care of prior to our arrival. Also the fact that the water is not drinkable needs to be made more clear in the description. It is something we only knew ahead of time from reading a review so we brought bottled water with us. The house is the prefect set up for a family get away or a girls weekend. The few issues aside we would definitely book again.

We had a nice stay. House has everything you need. Do make sure to bring drinking water though. It’s about 25 minutes from Bloomington or Nashville. It’s right on a railroad track, but we only heard one or two trains a day.

I stayed here with my husband and two friends during a weekend getaway. It was the perfect peaceful setting to relax and catch up. The hot tub and foosball table were big highlights for us. Would stay here again in a heartbeat on a future trip to the Bloomington metro area!

Absolutely loved our stay at Lemon Ridge! This beautiful cabin had everything we needed for our extended family vacation. Plenty of room for us to gather together and to retreat to separate separate spaces. The grandkids loved the playhouse and making s'mores around the campfire and the adults enjoyed the hot tub and the table games in the basement. we brought our boats and there was amplespace to park and the location was perfect for lake access. Make sure to bring water! The house is on a cistern system which means the water is fine for bathing but it is not drinkable. Luckily, we had a case with us, but did have to get more during the stay. Overall, this is an amazing home that made for a perfect family vacation. We hope to make it back in the future!

We loved this cabin! We will definitely stay again. It’s so nice and peaceful. There’s tons of room. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the game room in the basement.
We did bring our little dog, the pet deposit was reasonable. Be careful with pets with the surrounding woods!

What a great cabin for a family getaway! The games in the basement made for a fun way to spend a rainy day inside. The location is perfect to hike in nearby Yellowwood, Morgan Monroe and Brown County park trails.

Great spot! Overlooks Lake Lemon and is equidistant from Nashville (which we primarily went) and Bloomington. Secluded, but also not so far from civilization, which was perfect. Had all the modern amenities which made it nice for our young son as well. Thanks!

We absolutely loved staying at this cabin. It's in a great location with a wonderful view of the lake in the early spring. Our family loved so much about the property, from the beautiful house, and the hot tub, and the fire pit and playhouse, to the great games downstairs... there's so much to love and we hope to come back very soon!

The cabin is spacious and the setting is dreamy! Our family of four loved the wrap around porch and the playhouse (the playhouse is high up so it’s ideal for older kids, our 2 year old could get up but was scared to come down the ladders). The listing says no WiFi but it looks like they’ve recently added it. Make sure you bring your own drinking water, charcoal and a lighter if you plan on a fire or candles. Would recommend!

A very relaxing, quiet stay where you can truly unplug. About 20 minutes from anywhere you want to be on Bloomington's campus, or downtown Nashville.

Kids have the treehouse and slide, & adults have the perfect atmosphere to relax. I would give more stars on cleanliness if I could because the place was even better than 5 stars.

The cabin was clean and very cozy! There was plenty of space for the 5 of us. The property is gorgeous and we were able to spend time outside despite the rain since there is a huge wrap around covered porch. We will absolutely be back in the future!

This cabin was gorgeous and the location was great. Private but still close to others. The hot tub was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked. It was fun to watch the squirrels in the trees sitting on the porch drinking coffee.

We had a great second visit to Lemon Ridge Lodge, near Lake Lemon. It was a great spot to get away and spread out over the large, secluded lot, to play games and explore the woods. Evenings included the hot tub and s'mores around the fire pit. Very clean, very responsive, excellent experience again!

Last-minute weekday getaway. The home was secluded, clean, and very relaxing. Would absolutely stay at this home again.

Super nice place. Bathrooms were much better than expected. All the essentials were there, so we didn't need to bring any of the small things that can be easily forgotten. The fire pit was nice, and the insect-repelling candles on the deck were really useful. The grill is charcoal and we didn't have any issues.

Modern cabin yet a perfect place to disconnect and enjoy nature and all the wonderful locations within a short drive. Family had a great time staying here and would recommend to all.

Lovely home. Very clean. Comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the large outside fire pit and the inside fireplace as well. Peaceful and secluded setting. Only 25 minute drive to the shops of Nashville, Indiana or the hiking trails of Brown County State Park. While we visited in early winter, this would be a great property for a summer stay.

The house and property are lovely. We were visiting my daughter for an event at IU. We've had two kids go to IU and this is the final year--I'm sad that we haven't thought to stay in a house prior to now. It's only a 15 minute drive to town so not a problem at all. We very much enjoyed the weekend!

Our trip was amazing, we will most definitely be back. Upon arrival I realized I forgot my fan that I can't sleep without, and Eric had box fans for us to use! Anything we needed that we didn't bring was already there for us, I thought I was going to be bummed about not having wifi, but I absolutely loved it, no interruption during our girls weekend. The cabin was very close to the lake, next time we will have to rent a kayak!

We stayed in Lemon Ridge Lodge for 3 nights and it was fantastic! The photos were very true to what we found upon arrival. Moondance was very easy to work with and answered all my questions. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. The views were beautiful and the deck was great. We were very happy with all the rooms and everything that was provided. We just wish we had more time to enjoy the cabin and all the area attractions. It was a little pricey for 6 people, so it's not a place I would book every year, but I would definitely look at Moondance rentals again if we are going to that area!

This cabin was a wonderful getaway for us - two couples and two little kids. The 3-year old LOVED the playhouse and slide, and we all enjoyed the open living space and great outdoor decks. We spent evenings on the deck and took the short drive to Lake Monroe to rent a pontoon for the afternoon. The air conditioning and foosball table in the basement were big hits with the summer heat. We also appreciated the privacy, while being so conveniently close to Indy, Bloomington and Nashville. We definitely look forward to booking this cabin again!
