It was a fun day

We loved our time at this cabin. The drive way is very steep. With a 4 wheel drive vehicle, it shouldn’t be a problem. We loved how secluded we were but still a short drive to the shops and restaurants. The pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin was so cute and cozy! There were a lot of lady bugs throughout the cabin. It was obvious the host was doing what they could to combat this common woods/cabin issue. We would recommend this little getaway and would happily choose it to stay again.

Exactly as described. Beautiful and private. The cabin was clean. The hot tub was amazing and the king bed was so comfortable.

We had a small issue with our cabin which is just, "one of those things" that happens to anyone. Eric and his team made it right, communicated very well, and made us want to come back to stay again in the future. We are thankful it all worked out and appreciate the efforts they went to accommodate us.

This was our second time at this cabin. We love it so much !

I had stayed at this cabin a very long time ago and had hoped to return at some point, and it finally happened. It was just as cozy now as I remember it being then and offered plenty of rustic cabin charm with the conveniences of a well-equipped coffee bar, hot tub and plenty of space for a couple of days of blending work and relaxation. It was peaceful with only a few cars driving by on the road below each day and we even saw a few deer wander by in the woods right outside of our window. The driveway, while steep and a little rutted as mentioned in other reviews, was fairly easily conquered by my fairly low profile sedan on multiple occasions so don't let that worry keep you from booking here. It's charming, not fancy. It's comfortable, not perfect. It's definitely worth booking the next time you want so peace and comfort that's an 8 minute drive into downtown Nashville and all that has to offer.

Fanatic stay.

Great place! Yes, the driveway is steep but had no issues in my AWD RAV4. The hot tub and fire pit were great. We enjoyed the games and pool table that came with the place. It was very nice and peaceful, yet minutes from town. My only negative here was the water pressure for taking a shower. Everything else was just like the pictures. Very neat and tidy. We’d stay here again!

This was our 4th year here. We enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet as well as the hot tub. We can’t wait for year 5!

I’ve stayed in a lot of cabins around Nashville and this was def one of my favorites! Loved the coffee bar, hot tub and fire pit. It is extremely peaceful and private. We loved watching all the deer, even saw a mom and baby every morning in the front yard. The drive way was nothing like I was worried about. A car can easily get up no problems. Easy drive to downtown Nashville. Definitely would stay again. Thank you

Definitely good idea to bring a four wheel drive vehicle if you have one! Otherwise, the place was great. Super cozy. We really enjoyed the scenery, hot tub, and pool table.

Deer_Dance is a beautiful place in the hills of brown county. Very peaceful and quiet, house was clean and well maintained. Completely enjoyed our stay, and the pool table and hot tub were wonderful for relaxing.

Was a quick getaway for our anniversary. Eric was very responsive. He was proactive in communication. The cabin was exactly what the photos showed. The cabin was clean and very well maintained. Check-in was very simple. The location is close to Nashville but very private. This was a great escape. We will be staying again.

This cabin is such a beautiful place. It was clean, organized, and so home-y. It was just my husband and I this trip but as soon as we stepped inside we immediately started planning trips together to bring back loved ones with us next time. Thank you so much for the hospitality!

We had an amazing time. The cabin was so relaxing and I felt right at home. The location is very private and secluded. The driveway is pretty steep gravel so I definitely recommend a front wheel drive vehicle.

Not your average cabin - felt like home! Thoughtfully decorated and stocked with all the things you might need. Plenty of activities and things to do when stuck inside. Only a few minutes from downtown Nashville. Loved the layout, updates, and especially the coffee bar! One of our favorite cabins! We will be back.

Our stay at Paradise View Log Cabin was very nice. The house was perfect for our family needs during IU graduation weekend. Plenty of room and the setting was beautiful. The game room kept the whole family entertained. We were less than 20 minutes to the heart of campus .

Took the wife on a trip to visit some local wineries. I would definitely recommend checking out down town Nashville as well as the wineries near Bloomington.

Eric’s cabin was the perfect spot for a long weekend getaway! With a wrap around deck and hot tub, there were things to do at the cabin outside, which was a plus! Only about 7 minutes from downtown Nashville, IN. Great location! 10/10 recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Deer Dance. My husband, 8yr old daughter and dog thought so as well. I’m very picky about small details, and these guys thought of everything! Small trash cans everywhere, plenty of hooks for towels, swimsuits ect… large fluffy towels.. better than at home! Very comfortable beds! I loved the heater on my toes while brushing my teeth. Spacious and beautiful bathrooms. Great warm lighting throughout cabin, we hate cool lighting. Great pool table, with straight sticks..which, if you play pool that’s a must! Extra towels for hotub, wonderful! Rocking chairs everywhere, loved that!! Beautiful views from every single window. We had a turkey visitor. Great dvd movie selection. Beautiful fireplace!! I can’t say enough about our home away from home.

Fabulous place to stay for our weekend getaway! The area was beautiful, quiet and peaceful as well as convenient, with restaurants and shopping close by.

Lovely stay, close to the heart of things in Nashville but far enough out that you felt like you were in the middle of Brown County state park. Driveway in the spring was less than ideal for a AWD minivan, but we made it. Probably bring our 4WD truck next time. Beautiful cabin, enjoyed the cabin decor, hot tub, swing, pool table, front porch rocking chairs, and inside furniture was nice. King size bed was comfy, didn’t use the upstairs bed. Overall, VERY nice, relaxing weekend for a 24th wedding anniversary trip. ❤️ We will be back with our family next time.

This beautiful home and grounds is a place I would love to own in my retirement. It felt like home with every amenity imaginable available right down to 2 kinds of coffee makers and a dish for the dog. The decor is very well appointed in rustic cabin fashion and comfortable and includes an east to use gas fireplace for that cozy atmosphere.
The loft is a pool players dream come true along with a great supply of board games. The screened in porch for outdoor dining, outdoor fire pit replete with hot dog forks, and large towels for the hot-tub provided that extra touch not to mention ample parking . This home is surrounded by woods yet close to Nashville and Brown County State Park.
A vacation here at any time of year is a great place to unwind. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Wow, what a gem of a cabin. Such nice thoughtful touches. A bundle of firewood for the outdoor firepit…the gas fireplace lit when we walked through the door. Especially loved the coffee nook with all supplies. Everything about this cabin is comfy and welcoming. The cabin we usually rent was already booked, but I’m so glad it was because we wouldn’t have found this one. Excellent communication with the host as well. Zero doubt we will be back.

Peaceful, beautiful home. Spotless and had all listed amenities. Plenty of games and things to do, or just relax in the hot tub. Only two things: living room TV is super small, and we struggled to get up the steep driveway.

We loved our stay at this cabin! It was so quaint and exactly what we were looking for. The hot tub was an amazing feature. The location was perfect- the cabin was just far enough to feel really private but still super close to everything you’d want do in Nashville. The only issue we ran into was a couple of the doors gave us trouble when trying to open/close them but other than that, our stay was amazing and we would definitely come back!

The Deer Dance cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It was secluded but still very close to Nashville shops/restaurants. The hot tub and fire pit were nice touches that we loved getting to use!

I would say the only problem we encountered were bugs. We saw several flies, ladybugs, and a few wasps inside. This is a cabin in the woods so we understand that is going to happen especially in an old wood house. They did have several bug repellents plugged into the wall.

Overall this place was perfect and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Nashville!

We loved staying here for our wedding. The pool table and hot tub are standout features and we loved being out in the nature relaxing in the hot tub. The only thing I’ll say is that the driveway is very very steep and a bit scary to drive. We were warned about this but not until we had already booked. As long as you don’t stop accelerating your car should make it though. Thank you for letting us stay in this lovely cabin!

We rented the cabin for a girlfriend’s weekend. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Loved the porch, especially to enjoy morning coffee. It was close to town so very convenient.

Our stay was very relaxing. We saw three deer right by the cabin. We were glad that we brought our truck with 4-wheel drive. There was a thunderstorm during our stay and the drive washed out a bit but we had no issues getting in and out. It’s a beautiful cabin.

We had quite a few mice droppings on kitchen counter everday, which led to cleaning. Told Moondance, also, driveway was awful with ruts hard to get up to, promised grading, never happened.

We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday here and had a great time! This was our son’s first time at a cabin, and he loved it! We enjoyed the hot tub, playing pool, and board games most. It was very beautiful, relaxing, and felt secluded.

Overall we loved this place and felt so comfortable coming back to it after a day of hiking. We loved having both a screened in porch option, which is where we had all our meals and also loved the porch swing and rocking chairs on huge outside porch, which is where we meditated. Sitting out in the early evening with the wonderful birds singing will always be remembered.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin!! It was our first trip to Brown County and we will definitely be back. The cabin is exactly as described/pictured. It was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and peaceful. Eric left very clear instructions for the hot tub as well as helpful recommendations for the area.

We spent our days in the state park biking, hiking, and swimming at the pool. After an active day the hot tub was something to look forward to.

Great relaxing getaway location!

We had a wonderful honeymoon in a beautiful location! We loved the peaceful surroundings and enjoyed listening to the birds and turkeys while rocking on the front porch. The proximity to Nashville and the Brown Count State Park allowed us to shop, dine and hike all within a short distance from the cabin. We loved it so much, we asked to stay an additional night but the cabin was already booked. We look forward to staying there again!

Eric’s properties are always squeaky clean and nicely arranged. Loved, loved, loved the hot tub on a starry night! Fire pit area was perfect, but did wish for a gas grill on the front deck. Anything you wanted in the kitchen right down to a crockpot and sharp knives. Beds were clean and comfortable.

Stayed here for a little R&R over the weekend. The location was great! The cabin was exactly as presented. The main bed was so comfy. And the amenities I’m this place are crazy. We had everything we needed and even things we didn’t even think we needed but did. I will Definitely be staying at this property again.

Very private and secluded location. Lots of amenities like charcoal for the grill and a stocked coffee bar, there was even a picnic basket with plates and utensils! Only about a 10 minute drive to Nashville, overall a great location!

Deer Dance Cabin was by far one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at. It was a clean, beautiful, spacious cabin, that was located on a private and peaceful property. & the amenities were excellent! Eric was super welcoming and helpful with our stay. Everything about this stay exceeded our expectations!

We loved our stay at Deer Dance! The property is about a 5 minute drive from downtown Nashville but provides the seclusion and privacy for a perfect getaway. Was looking for a quiet place to half vacation half work somewhere else other than home and this was perfect! The cabin was lovely and had amenities exactly as promised. I couldn’t get enough of the hot tub throughout the week. Close to all the good stuff in Nashville but far enough away that it’s all peace and quiet. Would definitely chose to stay here or another related property again!

This is the second time I’ve rented from Moondance Rentals, and I don’t know that I’ll ever choose another place if I’m in Brown County! They’re great!

I had a few difficulties the night I arrived - couldn't get the fireplace started (Instructions were incorrect) and couldn't get on wi-fi (password sign was hidden & I couldn't find it) Could not make phone calls or send texts unless I stood in the driveway-very frustrating.
The good part - Eric was very responsive & helped by sending someone out the next morning to help with anything I needed. The cabin is really lovely in many ways. Nice size kitchen, comfortable beds and several recliners for relaxing, especially by the fire. I loved the front porch swing, the hot tub and dining table for doing puzzles. I would definitely return for another visit.
Thanks again Eric for dealing with my initial anxiety - you and your staff were great.

We had a family emergency, and the hosts let us give the reservation to our friends. Glad it didn’t go to waste, and our friends reported that it was a great house—and that the descriptions of the very steep hill of the road to get to it are not exaggerated.

The cabin was very lovely and surrounded by beautiful forests. I did have some problems with “going for walks”, not the best area for that! Our pup would have loved to do more exploring. The hot tub was fabulous and all the amenities were very convenient. The cleaning/maintenance folks were very helpful when we couldn’t get the fireplace to work. We had a very restful stay at Deer Dance Cabin!

We were surprised and delighted to be greeted by Christmas decorations when we arrived at the cabin! It felt very festive and cheery, especially since we arrived after dark. The speed of the wifi was amazing - super impressive since we felt like we were way out in the woods. The location was great too - both for exploring Bloomington as well as hiking in the woods and parks with our two dogs. The cabin is stocked with everything you need, and I especially appreciated the kitchen. Eric's responses to any questions were super fast and friendly. We'd definitely considered staying here again - or another Moondance property! Thank you!

This house was great - not too far from downtown Nashville. Pet friendly. Clean. Nicely decorated. Great porch. Plenty of parking. Good layout.

Stayed at Deer Dance cabin in September 2022. The photos represented the property very well and the amenities were excellent. The drive way was steep and was almost problematic for a front wheel drive vehicle but the agency did recommend AWD or 4WD before booking. The entire reservation process with Eric was very efficient and Amber, CSR was very helpful and prompt when I needed assistance. I would also recommend taking a Firestick or DISH Anywhere as the DISH package provided did not include basic national or local channels. Heavenly, peaceful and perfect!

This cabin is absolutely amazing! My wife and I are both introverts and were looking to get away from busy adult life in the city for awhile. Staying here was like having complete solitude except for our very few ventures into town. The amenities were great (everything you could need besides food was provided).

We had a great stay at cabin, played pool and enjoyed coffee in the screened porch. Beds were very comfortable. In the two bedrooms. This rental is probably best for 4 adults as the futon was not very comfortable for my brother and his wife, who chose to go to a hotel the second night, ( might not be an issue for a child) .

Loved the woods surrounding the cabin and the wonderful porch, screened porch and jacuzzi. We stayed out doors for almost the entire visit! Thanks for the amazing stay.

We absolutely loved the cabin! The check in process was so easy. We have stayed in Nashville the last few years, and honestly this has been our best stay! We loved the hot tub and it was a short easy drive into town. We will definitely try and book this cabin again!

This place was amazing! The driveway was a steep gravel so it can be a little bit difficult getting up if you don’t have the proper car but we were able to make it and just stayed up there on the rainy day of our weekend. The cabin was in great condition and had everything we needed for a rainy day! We really enjoyed staying here and would love to again!

Great experience at the cabin. Nice mix of remote location and close enough to town. The property is on a steep hill so aside from the main driveway area and back fire pit location, it’s not the most usable. We enjoyed it thoroughly nonetheless.

I was visiting brown county for a family event and to escape the fireworks for Fourth of July because my dog is very frightened by the noise. Although we did hear some fireworks I still found the cabin to be a lovely place to pass the time. I didn’t even go into town much because it was so hot outside. I slept great, everything was functioning and I am sure I will return!

Deer Dance is a great retreat for a weekend or week long getaway! We had great communication prior to and during our stay. The cabin was stocked with nearly everything we needed in the kitchen and had many games for indoor and outdoor. Great location to town and the porch is so relaxing! Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Deer dance is a wonderful get away from normal life, while still being close enough to enjoy downtown Nashville. The driveway can be a little bit of a doozy, especially during rain.

This cabin was so cozy and beautiful! The woods surrounding are stunning and we spent a lot of time relaxing on the porch swing and in the hot tub. It’s also such a short drive from downtown Nashville! It was perfect and we would definitely stay there again.

Stayed at Deer Dance Cabin this week. This property is amazing. It was extremely clean and the pictures just don’t do it justice. Water pressure and heat was amazing. Heating and cooling was excellent. Deck and screened in porch came in very handy. Great scenery. Hot tub was very well maintained. Overall 6 stars. Will definitely be staying again. Planning a trip to the deer dance in July as I type this.
P.S-don’t let the driveway scare you. Steady gas and momentum and it’s easy as pie. (I drive a fwd Toyota sedan)

My boyfriend booked deer dance cabin for my birthday. It was cozy and sheer fun. We really enjoyed our stay and the hot tub was so relaxing.

We loved our stay at Deer Dance! Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Our family loved playing board games, rocking on the front porch with the amazing view and laughing while relaxing under the stars in the spa. The owners cover every comfort of home along with special touches to make the guest truly feel like they are on a holiday. We loved how quick the access was to downtown Nashville. For a fun family activity close by, look up Grandpa Jeff's Trail Rides. We will definitely come back!

Great location and perfect setting.

My wife, bother in law, mother in law, dog and granddaughter stayed for three days at the Deer Dance Cabin. This is the second year in a row we stayed at one of Moondance's rentals. We had a very excellent time and the cabin was second to none. Needless to say we will be staying again next year when the school my wife works at is on Spring Break!

A great place to get away!

Deer Dance Cabin did not disappoint. All was as described and we booked through Airbnb. Proximity to town and Brown County State Park was lovely and the accommodations super comfortable.

Book this cabin. The location is close to town and brown county state park. It is cozy and clean with a nice open area if you bring a dog. The hot tub was an added bonus and the king bed super comfortable. The driveway is very steep so FWD or AWD recommended.

This is such a cute and cozy cabin!!!! I love how nestled in the woods it is while being so close to the adorable little town with all the pleasant shops! We had 4 adults and 2 small dogs stay around Thanksgiving, and this little cabin in the woods was the perfect getaway spot! Just the right size for our group, we really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and especially appreciated that they had decorated for Christmas! We enjoyed a lot of time in front of the gas fireplace, had a relaxing evening in the hot tub, and were able to utilize the full kitchen without any problems. No cell service in the house (AT&T), but since our phones have wifi calling and there was decent wifi on the property, it wasn't too much of an issue. Super convenient to the village of Nashville, and we enjoyed running a few miles on the surrounding country roads - very pretty! Thanks for a great stay!

We enjoyed a wonderful girls weekend at Deer Dance. Nice cabin and great location. Loved all the outdoor spots to sit and relax, especially the hot tub. The well stocked coffee bar was an added bonus. Would stay again.

We loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day of traveling and a then again after hiking at the park. We loved the wrap around porch and a decent book selection and the screened in porch area where we basically ate every meal. The bed on the main floor was very comfortable and cozy!
We thoroughly enjoyed our (much too short!) stay! I didn’t want to leave!

It is close to downtown Nashville and a grocery store if you need anything.
The hill to get up to the cabin from the road is very steep - glad we had our Jeep with 4-wheel drive!

Awesome cabin in beautiful Brown County. Spent a lot of hours on the screened in porch. Nashville has a lot to offer. Brown County State Park was also great. The cabin is very comfortable and cozy. Just what we needed after an entire week of driving to relax and kick back.

Quick option for a 3 day vacation or plenty of activities for a week or more. This cabin has something for all ages. Accessible for limited mobility. Pet friendly! So many good places to eat that it is hard to choose and you have everything you need to cook at the cabin if you want to stay in. Ideal if you need a break and want to avoid travel and crowds.

Great getaway

Nice cabin and quiet secluded location. Worked very well for our needs in visiting family and friends in the area. Close to Nashville if we needed anything yet a remote feel. Wi-Fi, Dish TV, screen porch, hot tub, pool table, grill area and more so there is something for everyone.

Enjoyed our stay. Relaxing and peaceful. Close proximity to what we wanted to do.

100% recommend the cabin as a great way to get away! There was very limited cell phone service which is to be expected in the woods. The wifi was great though and kept our family in touch. The screened in porch, pool table, fire pit, porch swing, and hot tub were the highlights for the family. It was the perfect size for all 4 of us and the games, pool table and hot tub kept my 9 and 11 year old entertained when we were not exploring the woods. Overall the cabin is clean, well maintained and the descriptions/photos are accurate. We loved our time there and if a getaway is what you are looking for then this will be perfect for you as well.

Wonderful cabin for a getaway. Clean, and the porch was heavenly. We spent most of our time on the porch, or in the hot tub. There's a nice little camp grill there too, just bring some charcoal. The driveway is quite steep! Our Hondas handled it ok, just something to be prepared for. It was a little tough to get up after a lot of rain. Altogether, these folks really know how to set a place up for guests though, I hope to go back some day!

A wonderful location for relaxing in seclusion. The cabin was clean and perfect for our needs. The wrap around porch was an amazing feature, with plenty of spots to sit and look out across the trees. A portion of the porch was screened in, though we didn't have an issue with bugs in any area. We also loved the hot tub, and think you will too. Definitely recommend you schedule a stay.

Literally had everything. All you needed was yourself and food items. After everything that went on this year a family vacation was absolutely needed and this was the perfect place to unwind and have family time. Will book it again in the future.

Excellent Stay! The location is very private and secluded, but not remote. If you looked very hard you could see a neighboring house from the front porch, but otherwise you feel all alone which is often just what is needed. The log cabin was very nice and provided everything. The hot tub was especially nice after a long day of walking and was well situated at the rear of the home under the stars. I highly recommend this location.

Deer Dance was beautiful (and there weren't even any leaves on the trees when we went!) Unfortunately, we were only there for two nights. We will stay longer next time! We've stayed at the Brown Co cabins and camped in Brown Co. State Park and staying at Deer Dance was a lovely change. The big swing on the porch, the hot tub, the fireplace, and the pool table were all favorites during our stay. We felt like the cabin was cleaned well before our stay and were impressed by the number of kitchen amenities. Next time we'll bring stuff to put in the crockpot so we can have dinner ready when we get home from hiking all day! We're excited to return in the summer when we can enjoy the warmer temperatures!

Great place and location!

This cabin was very cozy. It was well stocked with everything you need. Special area set up just to make coffee.. Master bedroom even has a recliner. Hot tub is set up on a new deck. I would definitely stay here again. Close to town, but still very private.

All the amenities you will need and the decor, fireplace, hot tub, and screened-in porch were wonderful. Very spacious and comfortable. A great place for a romantic getaway, bring the whole family, girls retreat, or couples retreat. I would highly recommend.

We love it here in the winter, despite the general lack of snow. The fireplace, board games, and general sense of relaxation and "getting away" makes this trip our favorite throughout the year.
