Bear Creek Cottage

Bear Creek Cottage was a perfect stay for a winter weekend. It had snowed a lot and the road and driveway and paths were all cleared nice. Comfortable beds and cutely decorated. An abundance of amenities of anything you might need was awesome for kitchen laundry etc. they even had robes for the hot tub. Location has beautiful surroundings and very close to all the cute shops and restaurants downtown Nashville. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect location, very clean and felt right at home!

Eric is a great host. Check in was extremely easy. We had no issues with anything. The cabin was immaculate and has everything you need. It's really close to restaurants and shops, but still private. The hot tub is amazing! We're so glad we chose this place and would definitely stay again! It was absolutely perfect for our relaxing weekend getaway!

Great location to the music venue and also to downtown Nashville. We were able to walk to downtown for restaurants and shopping. Also very close to the Hard Truth Distillery.

Loved the location of the house, just a 5 minute drive to town where you can walk and shop and find restaurants. Also the Brown County Art Gallery is close by, plus the state park! The house may be older but it has been updated very well and we were very comfortable there. Great patio area - wish the weather was warmer during our stay so we could have enjoyed the patio more.

We had a great stay at the property. It was girls trip and the house served as a nice home base. Plenty of towels and wash clothes, amenities provided and a clean space. Beds were comfy and the firepit and hot tub were a blast. Very close to town and Hard Truth!

The house and amenities were just as described. Eric was very prompt and helpful with his recommendations. The house was well located for easy walking to main areas of Nashville, and the home was very comfortable.

Just in town to get away for a few days and relax. This was the perfect spot. Comfortable, cozy, beautiful outdoor hot tub that we soaked in each night of our stay and enjoyed watching the big screen TV. soft beds and couches, excellent kitchen and spacious bathrooms with washer and dryer.

An amazing experience all around and within walking distance to downtown Nashville or a few minutes drive. Highly recommend and thanks for a great experience!!!!!

What a beautiful private space. It was a perfect quiet retreat would definitely be the perfect spot for a family or a couples retreat.

This was the perfect place to stay in Brown County! It is very close to Hard Truth Hills. The outdoor porch is very relaxing in the evening with a hot tub & outside tv. This was our first trip with our baby to Brown County and the couch was extra comfy for naps with our baby. We will definitely be looking in to staying at the same place for future trips!

We stayed for a weekend in Nashville, Indiana, and everything was great. The place looked exactly like the photos – clean, well-equipped, and perfect for a visit to Brown County. The location was excellent – close to town but peaceful. Definitely recommend!

We stayed for 4 nights in the middle of July. It was hot, but we still managed to enjoy the hot tub - it was great having a TV outside to watch and a fan to keep the air moving! Both great additions to this quaint, cozy home. We spent one of the cooler evenings outside enjoying the fire pit. When we couldn't light the tiki torches, someone was there within minutes to fill them with oil and replace the wicks... talk about service! Thank you for a wonderful getaway... ♥♥

This was the perfect getaway for my husband, baby, dog, and I! We enjoyed watching movies and hanging out on the back porch. Eric was very responsive and kind when we messaged him. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. We hope to come back again soon!

We had a lovely time and I was thoroughly impressed with how clean this dog-friendly place was. I loved the peaceful but central location. We even saw a deer right outside the house. Great stay!

My wife, one-year-old son, dog, and I visited Eric’s home for a two night getaway in Nashville, Indiana. The home was perfect for us and we had a wonderful time! The TV and hot tub on the large patio were especially a hit, and we appreciated the privacy screens while still being able to sit outside.

Eric’s place is absolutely amazing! Eric went above and beyond and offered us the opportunity to extend our stay when he had the availability. We were staying while we had some renovations going on at home in Columbus. Gorgeous drive down 46 to get here.

Some of the best aspects of the trip was being surprised by the fair taking place right across the street, as well as being able to come back to the hot tub and comfy bed after a long day at work.

I would highly recommend this home, as well as Eric, for anyone looking for a place to stay in Brown County. We loved it so much, we plan to be back for the occasional weekend trips throughout the year!

The only downside (and it’s not the host’s fault) is that a lot of the restaurants do close fairly early in Brown County. If you’re hoping for dinner, best to grab food before 8pm. Aside from that, the full kitchen has everything you could possibly need to fix your own meals.

Oh - and the gardens are gorgeous!

This was the perfect place for our little anniversary getaway! My husband and I ordered a meal kit box with a few meals in it, brought some wine, and just camped out here for the weekend, cooking together, playing board games and card games, and enjoying the hot tub. It was very close to town, so we were easily able to spend a full day walking through town, checking out the shops and some cool places to eat. We didn’t get to go hiking due to all the rain, but we will have to try that next time!

The water is very chlorinated, so if you have sensitivities or allergies you should be aware of that, but all in all it was a lovely place to stay! Would absolutely stay there again!

Close to town, yet peaceful!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house has all a small family would need plus the enjoyment of a cabin-like surroundings. The furnished outdoor space is beautiful with TV and comfortable sofa sets. Hot tub is very clean, good size for two adults and two small kids. It is a great location, short distance to grocery store, town center and the state park.

We are especially grateful for our host Eric and the owners. They helped us moved our car into garage overnight when the tornado visited the area.

Spent a romantic few days here and loved this home. Very clean, nice furniture and the hot tub on the covered porch with a tv….spot on! Nashville IN is a cute town and very close by. Great for a relaxing getaway!

Such a great little place just outside (within walking distance) the heart of downtown Nashville. My family and I came for the weekend for the Christkindlmarkt and to do some shopping. Erics place was extremely clean and SUPER well appointed, literally everything was thought of, down to the separate "makeup eraser" cloths in the bathroom and the separate towels for the hot tub!!! Adorably decorated for the holidays too! Easy 0.5 mile walk to downtown and all the shopping and restaurants.
Also very grateful for this property being pet-friendly! Will definitely try to book here again next time we come to Nashville!

Very cozy and comfortable place! Very clean and everything was labeled, making it easy to navigate the house. The hot tub was a very relaxing way to end the evenings! Overall we had a great experience.

We had a lovely short weekend here! The place was the perfect get away. We didn’t have enough time to see/do everything we wanted so we are headed back to Bear Creek Cottage in March so we can explore more. Would definitely recommend for your trip to Nashville, Indiana!

This is the fourth year we have stayed at a property managed by Eric. The places are always spotless, conveniently located, all the ammenities (TV at the hot tub what?!). We'll rent again - you should too.

Overall, this is an amazing little cottage! Location is great, you can walk right up the hill to downtown. Loved the outdoor space, hot tub and T.V. and a grill! Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could ever need on a vacation, all pots, pans, cookware, skillets, utensils, dishwasher.... WOW! I only had one tiny issue with our stay, and that there are no bedside lamps/lights,only the overhead room lights. I highly recommend this property! It's is very clean, well maintained,and thoughtfully stocked. Oh extra bonus, also has a washer and dryer!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Eric's cabin! The location couldn't be more perfect....in between Hard Truth and downtown Nashville and close to the state park. The cabin was also immaculately clean and the bed was super comfortable. Thanks so much for a great stay, Eric! We are already talking about when we can come back!

This is a beautiful place to stay. The place is everything they said and more. It's very clean. We felt right at home. The back patio is a nice spot to relax also. We had a few questions and they responded immediately. The kitchen is stocked with about anything you need. We've stayed at alot of airbnb's and the kitchens just don't have alot.

We were in town for a wedding at the Brown County Inn and Eric’s place was a perfect location to everything in downtown Nashville as well as Brown County Park! We were able to walk to downtown quickly from this space and drive into the park in just 10 minutes.

We would definitely stay again! The place was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor space a ton! Also the beds were incredibly comfortable.

It was a great place to stay! Very clean every thing was labeled so well that any questions I would have had were answered. The location was fantastic it was within walking distance to town but far enough out that you got away from the busyness of town it was also really close to Hard Truth distillery witch is a great place to eat and visit! There really is nothing I would change they already thought of it all would highly recommend!!!

This place was beautiful and perfect for an escape from the city. It’s a 4 min drive into nashville to go shop and check out the quaint charm it provides. 15 min drive from Brown County state park and we definitely enjoyed the hiking trails while there. Perfect kitchen for cooking our own meals at night, however I would’ve loved having a proper knife set to use. The hallway leading to the 2 bedrooms is very narrow and my companion had to walk through sideways because his shoulders were too broad, but the rooms themselves were very spacious! The property is very close to another home which was less than ideal, but it was separated by a cute little creek and after rain it was beautiful to see it full with water and the curtains on the patio provided privacy when needed. All in all it was a pleasant stay and would love to see it again in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Eric's rental. It was clean, updated, and we felt at home right away. We appreciated the attention to detail and the thought put into making the house feel like home. It was just off the main road, so we could easily walk to town. The porch was very cozy and we spent a lot of time sitting outside. We would definitely return!

This cottage was great! And of course the hot tub was the star of the show…along with the big porch. They had everything one needed for a nice getaway. Also super clean & nicely decorated. (The only thing I would say is for anyone who is sensitive to smells there were very strong air fresheners in the house.) Overall great stay & would definitely come back! 🙂

It was a fabulous experience at a wonderful place! It was a great space for 2 couples. It was an easy walk (or drive) into town. We love Brown County State Park, and it’s proximity to the park was great. We will definitely try to stay at this or a similar property again, hopeful there’s something suitable for just one couple too! Our stay at Bear Creek Cottage was great! It is walkable to Nashville but also very quiet and peaceful. The house is beautifully decorated and well appointed with amenities. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our time at the cabin! Very cozy and comfortable. We had a couple small issues and they were very responsive and were able to help us quickly. The kitchen was loaded with everything you’d need and the bed was very comfortable! The free pass to the state park was great. The outside patio area was a dream! If I had one small recommendation I’d say add some board games or games to play but that’s just a personal preference. 10/10 for us though and we would stay again!

We had a great stay at Bear Creek Cottage with our puppers. When we booked, we didn’t realize it was just a short walk to town. And we really loved Nashville, I want to come back at Christmas time.
The cottage was easy to find, and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and the host even supplied us with goodies which was much appreciated.
The back porch with hot tub and TV was 100% our favorite, it was so peaceful and relaxing sitting out there. The bed was super comfy and the dryer came in handy so I didn’t have to pack a wet bathing suit.

Clean place , good location to all the activities in Nashville.

Loved this place. Perfect size for my husband and I. Close enough to walk to town. Near Brown County State Park. Which the host provided a day pass for. We were able to get a hike in. Part of the reason we were there.
This was our first time not staying at the state park and we were very satisfied.
We were able to bring our dogs and the outdoor space was great!
We could come home after dinner and relax outside and even take a dip in the hot tub.
They also had a little set up with chairs and wood if you wanted to have a fire.
House was fully stocked and clean.
Would stay again. 🙂
