We had a great stay! It was a winter getaway weekend, and this place was perfect. Easily walkable to downtown shops and restaurants, very clean and comfortable, and the perfect place to hang out in the evenings in front of the fireplace!

Stay was perfect and the hot tub was nice!

Nice place to stay. Inside was very clean and cute. Don’t be thrown off by the outside, it is a little outdated, but the inside is updated and nice. Hot tub is cute. Curtains around the hot tub are nice and a great touch. Very nice for the price. Would definitely stay again.

Artist Lane is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for something within walking distance of Nashville’s main shopping and restaurant area while still enjoying peace and quiet. The fireplace and hot tub made it extra cozy, and it’s dog-friendly too! We were two couples attending a concert at the Brown County Music Center and decided to turn it into a little getaway — Artist Lane was a fantastic accommodation. I also highly recommend Ooey Gooey for breakfast — their cinnamon rolls and coffee right around the corner were amazing!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Nashville. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, which made settling in effortless. The location was perfect—close enough to everything we wanted to do, yet still quiet and relaxing when it was time to unwind.

The host was responsive and thoughtful, making the entire experience smooth from check-in to check-out. You can tell a lot of care went into creating a welcoming space, and it truly felt like a home away from home.

We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nashville.

This home was perfect for our weekend getaway! The layout was wonderful for our family of four with plenty of common area space! The kitchen was well equipped, the shower has great water pressure and the hot tub was clean and hot—added bonus that there are curtains for privacy while enjoying it!

The location was too notch as well! We walked to several restaurants and enjoyed the library being right there as well! If you are coming into town for the Brown County Music Center—it is super close (we drove because it was cold but it would have totally been walkable, just like 20 minutes!)

We wouldn’t hesitate to book this home again!

Very nice cabin, greatly enjoyed our stay. Really appreciated the Christmas tree, it made it more homely to celebrate Christmas together.

Beautiful place, very cozy and clean. The hot tub was great! You can walk to all the shops but it was pretty chilly so we drove to get dinner. We will definitely book again when warmer and we can enjoy the shops!

Listing was as promised. Was very clean and great location to all the shops and restaurants downtown. Host was great. We woke up one day and had no water due to pipes freezing because of the weather. Eric responded quickly and had maintenance out there within an hour to restore water for us. Additionally, we were supposed to stay at a different cabin that was more remote. Due to the recent snow and weather conditions he moved us to a cabin in town the night before our stay and was very flexible. Was a very cozy little winter getaway and hot tub was great!

A very cute, comfortable and recently renovated artist cottage located in walking distance to downtown Nashville. Hot tub and working gas fireplace were a bonus! Loved our stay.

This is a great place, in a nice, quiet location next to the library but a short distance from all the shops and restaurants. It is a quaint, historical property that has been nicely updated, with updated bathrooms in each of the bedrooms. The living area is spacious with lots of seating. The only challenge is the parking, which was a little confusing and probably not great for people with mobility issues, but other than that it was a really nice stay in a charming home that is conveniently located.

Beautifully restored artists home nestled in the hills of Brown County. Freshly remodeled kitchen and bath areas, nice gas fireplace and comfortable furnishings. We will come back.

The Artist Lane Cottage was the perfect location for our week in Nashville! Close to shops with easy walkability without being on the main thoroughfares. The house is historic and has loads of charm while being clean and tidy. The hot tub was lovely when the evenings cooled off enough to use it. A deck of cards and games were available along with checkers and things. The idea in this house isn’t to just sit and watch tv but to get out and about in town or spend time around the dining table. Gas grill was great for making a few meals at home. We will return!

This was a beautiful place to stay! Super charming aesthetic and loved reading about the history of the place. It was very peaceful especially getting to relax in the hot tub while it was raining and hearing the rain hit the tin roof. Even though there were bad storms during our stay that knocked out the power of the town for 12+ hours, getting to see the community come together was heart warming. Love seeing a close knit small town community. Everyone in town was welcoming and friendly. This place is full of good shops and even better food.

It was great staying so close to town and very easy to walk to everything and so convenient! The place was bigger than we expected and wished we could have stayed longer. Very homey, so glad we picked this place! We also had a last minute change and needed to bring our dog, Eric responded very quickly and was very accommodating! Such a great weekend!

This house is a wonderful example of a period cottage that has been updated for modern living without erasing its history. The living/dining room is spacious, with a wall of windows providing a lot of natural light, antique wood floors, and a statement fireplace. The kitchen is bright and had plenty of dishes and cookware. When we had a slight hiccup with the gas grill, Eric was very responsive. The location is fantastic; just a 5 minute walk to the Main Street of shops, galleries, and restaurants, but very quiet. Know that if you choose to walk, the house is on a hill. If you’re a reader, check out the beautiful public library next door. It has a book nook of used books for sale by donation. Perfect way to support the town. I bought 2!

It was very nice place to stay while you went shopping. Very close to everything. The hot tub was so relaxing after a long day of shopping.

My dog and I made the trip to Nashville to spend a few days hiking at Brown County State Park. We enjoyed the cottage and all of its history. Eric was very responsive to any questions we had. Great location. This is the first time we’ve stayed walking distance to the little town. It was great to be able to walk everywhere. We even walked to Hard Truth Distillery. The hot tub was great since we were there to do a trail race.

The only heads-up I’d give is that the only bathroom is attached to one of the bedrooms. So, if two couples were sharing the place, one couple would have to walk through the other bedroom to use the bathroom. It was just my husband and I, so not an issue for us.

Love the Artist Cottage. Have there here twice now! Will be back again!!

We have rented the Locust Lane property 3 times because it is such a great place. The location is excellent (3 minute walk to restaurants and shops), there is a fenced-in area for our dogs, and the home is comfortable and spacious. Eric at MoonDance is so responsive, too; we have never had trouble getting hold of him for any reason. We will be back a 4th time!

This was our third time staying here for our annual Brown County hiking trip, and are already planning for next year. Eric is extremely responsive, and the place is a great location. It’s also wonderful to have a place that allows dogs, and they love their own fenced-in yard!

We enjoyed our stay, Our child really enjoys staying at the cottage. We went this year because that's where he requested to go.

We loved our stay at the Artist's Lane Cottage. In town for a wedding, the cottage provided both easy access to the different venues and the perfect place to slip away with our two-year-old for peace and quiet. The cottage was clean; all the amenities worked well; and the decor (which can easily be overdone with kitsch) was cozy and welcoming. Nashville itself is full of fun shops, but we especially enjoyed the proximity to Brown County State Park and its many hiking, biking, and outdoor offerings.

The property is very cute and situated right in downtown Nashville. The interior had a lot of vintage charm and the small fenced outdoor area was great for the dog (but he really like the beautiful grounds around the library right next door).

Great location to walk around in Nashville. If your into old house and the history of it. Then this is a good place to go. If your into cooking I highly recommend Nashville Spice Company. I’ve been buying my spices from there for 4 years and never been disappointed, a lot of options to pick from. Big Woods Pizza has great food, Hard Truth distillery is also a great place! Good food and there liquor is amazing along with the Quaff-On beer. Peanut butter and jelly beer is amazing!!

Great location and charming home. Close to town but hidden away from seasonal/holiday traffic. An unobstructed view of the July 4th fireworks was an unexpected bonus! A good option for shoppers, diners, MTB'rs, and hikers alike.

This was a prime location for anyone who wants to explore Nashville. I loved waking up to the sunshine streaming through the vintage windows and drinking coffee while gazing at the hills in the distance.

My mother and I enjoyed our time away in Nashville, staying at Artist Lane Cottage. Our hosts were quickly responsive to my pre-arrival questions/concerns/requests. It was also easy to call if a road-bump came up and receive help promptly while we were there. (Like me somehow not remembering to hit the unlock sign on the door pad & wondering why the door pad that worked for me earlier was no longer allowing me entrance!)

Part of the reason I chose Artist Lane Cottage was because of the overall ‘calm’ feeling I got from the pics. It’s not over decorated with ‘stuff’ everywhere.

There were plenty of shops and boutiques within easy walking distance! Returning home to a calm quiet cottage in the evening was perfect.

It’s just the right size for a couple or two singles. A couple and a single could make it work if the couple feels good about a full sized bed and the single feels good about the only (small but cute) bathroom being located in their room!

What a beautiful place! The home's layout, hot tub, plentiful towels and blankets, and comfortable beds made our stay enjoyable. We had difficulty checking in due to the way the information in their text was messaged. This was our first time ever experiencing that—yet, once we were finally able to reach the management company, the issue was quickly resolved.

We had a great stay, only 2 nights, but that was all the time we had. We enjoyed Nashville's shopping and restaurants, but our focus was a quiet getaway, and this cottage was perfect. Loved the book that was "about us". It was cool to see the pictures and read the story of this cottage and what was done to make it what it has become. The evenings were awesome, time in the hot tub, a movie with the fireplace adding the perfect touch. The place was very clean and well stocked, not a single issue. The windows allowed a nice breeze while sleeping and one of the nights there was a brief shower that woke me with the sound of rain on the tin roof. It was so relaxing.

My mom, sister, and I rented a home from Moondance right in Brown County. We loved our experience! The location was super convenient, the house was charming and very clean, & the hot tub was wonderful. The whole experience was easy and enjoyable. My mom had a wonderful birthday celebration! This was our second time renting this place . Great home with lots of history and great location; a 3 minute walk to the restaurants and shops, and 10-20 minute drive to hiking.

We really liked the vintage vibe and coziness of the cottage a lot. The location was weird in the middle of the street but it’s a good weird. It’s not a busy street, but you do feel close to the neighbors and passers by on all sides. The living room is so nice with the high ceiling and big window. We loved hanging out there after our days out.

This rental is quaint and clean and right in town. The only downfall is the only bathroom is located in the smaller of the two bedrooms. Other than that it was perfect for us. Even has a small screened-in porch where you can sit to enjoy a little nature no matter what the weather is like.

The rental is very clean. We loved being able to walk to town every day. Loved the screen porch for relaxing in the evening. We had a small issue with the front door and someone was there to assist within 1/2 hour. When the gal that came out determined she couldn’t correct the problem, a repairman was there immediately. All the people who assisted were very nice.

We spent a few days at Artist Lane Cabin celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. The cabin was spacious, comfy, clean, and well-stocked, and was located within walking distance of downtown Nashville. We made good use of the gas grill on the patio, and appreciated that there was an extra propane tank available as well. A great place to relax and decompress!

Place was great and perfect for an overdue visit with a college friend. Town was conveniently located without being close enough to get foot traffic. Would stay again!

The place puts you right into the heart of Little Nashville. It has a wonderful style and feel to the place! Would definitely go back again!

My wife and I, together with our dog, enjoyed immensely this little quaint cottage in the middle of Nashville for Easter. The location was perfect, in a quiet neighborhood yet just steps from all the action in downtown Nashville. Eric and Amber were so helpful and easy to work with! We will definitely be back.

Enjoyed our getaway at this charming cottage, located a short walk from the shops and restaurants in Nashville. We appreciated the opportunity to have our dog with us--the small fenced yard was really convenient. We also liked having some outdoor space to hang out in--just wished the weather had been a bit better and we would have used it more! The cottage is spacious and furnished with lovely antiques and comfy couches. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. As noted by others, the only drawback to using both bedrooms is that the bathroom is located inside the smaller bedroom. This would be a fine place for a couple or small family.

Artist Lane was very clean, charming, quiet and was in a fantastic location at the top of the hill overlooking the town and in walking distance to everything. We had a great moms get-away being able to just leave our car and walk into town for dinner. It was also nice to have a DVD player to watch movies in the evening, and we had everything in the kitchen we needed. The fireplace is just decorative, but the entire cottage was super cute and had lots of character. The only bathroom is very nicely finished with a standup shower but is through one of the two bedrooms, so just be aware in case that matters to whoever is staying in that bedroom. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and we would stay there again. We had a great stay!

You can expect everything to be easy and stress-free, from check-in to check out. The cottage is full of history! Make sure to check out the table books. This place is so clean and has everything you need. It’s so quiet and tranquil. Downtown is within walking distance. Can’t wait to come back. 5 stars from me!!

This is a beautiful property in a great location. Moondance was responsive and the house was spotless upon our arrival. All of the interesting shops and restaurants of Nashville are within a short walk away and yet within a 15 min drive, you can access hiking and biking trails that will transport you into a remote wilderness environment. We loved it, our two dogs gave it 8 paws up and we're all looking forward to being back!

We loved all the natural light in the home - the huge windows are stunning. It was great to get to know the history of the home and see pictures of its renovation.

Beds are comfortable, and the whole space is well-kept and a delight. We especially enjoyed the screened-in patio, and we would stay here again without hesitation. One thing to know: There is only one bathroom, and it is in the second bedroom. This was not a problem for us. It was just my husband and me who stayed, so we didn't have to worry about disturbing a guest if we needed to use the bathroom during the night. The front window is huge, and it is so much fun to sit in front of it. We saw deer. The hosts have special touches such as a book that talks about the history of the house and information about what to do in the area. The kitchen was spotless and in perfect working order. There is a very convenient counter between the stove and fridge which is a perfect place to put whatever stuff you bring from home -- although since the kitchen is well-stocked, you won't need much!The house rules are clear and simple, which we really appreciated. Some hosts leave a "what to do" that's about as long as reading WAR AND PEACE! Not here. Just Leave the cottage as you found it, take out garbage, wash and put away any dishes (there is a dishwasher), and leave your used bedding on the floor. EASY! The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. Even though you are close to shopping, it doesn't feel like it. This really is the perfect place to stay if you visit Nashville, Indiana. Enjoy!

It is an older home so some things are a little primitive but everything is very nice. We liked the little fence around the home, we didn't have to worry about our dog slipping out on the road! Very convenient to town, just a short walk. Parking is terrible downtown, so being able to walk is a big plus. There are books about the cottage and the artist of Nashville, very interesting.

This was one of my favorite places to stay. The place was nicely decorated, has a great restoration history, is very clean, is central to everything we wanted to do, and the amenities were great. The best is that they allow you to bring your dog, have a fenced in yard, and has great places to walk with your dog. I would highly recommend and look forward to going again!

This was a great property in a wonderful location! The home is up a hill a couple blocks back from all of Nashville’s shopping and dining. It was nice to walk to everything. Check-in was very easy and the home was extremely clean. We were very happy with choosing this for our vacation!

This cottage is cozy, comfy and charming! The cottage has been updated but still has retained it's original charm. The location is wonderful! Walking distance to downtown Nashville yet still very quiet and peaceful. Also exceptionally clean and Eric even left snacks and treats for us. The side screened in porch was a special treat to relax and enjoy morning coffee. I would definitely stay at this cottage again!

We have used Moondance a few times and they have been great. A year ago we stayed in a cabin and there were some issues but we were upgraded to another cabin quickly. This year we stayed at Artist Lane and it was a cute little home with some history to it. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. If you stay here, the house is on a dead end road but it’s in the center of the road so we missed it after driving by several times. We would definitely stay here again.

Quaint 1920's remodeled cottage with all the needed amenities. A block and a half from downtown. Quiet area. Great if traveling with pet. Eric very responsive to questions. Had enjoyable extended weekend visit!

Home was quaint and in a really quiet and cute part of town. Home was spacious and host was thoughtful and accommodating! Everything was a breeze.

The location of this cottage can't be beat! Walking distance to everything and very easily accessible. The decor is updated but has its original cottage charm. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone going to Nashville.
