A Woodland Castle

Very secluded and peaceful place! We loaded up on groceries in town and just stayed put! We did some hiking and enjoyed the wood stove fireplace on the chilly days. Just what we needed for our short getaway!

My wife and I booked Jan 10-16 for our honeymoon, but only spent 1 hour on the property apon arrival. There were multiple broken window locks, back door was left unlocked upon arrival, as well as 4 seasons room unlocked from balcony leading inside also unlocked ( you can access the balcony from ground level outside). The host was very attentive but not issuing any sort of refund due to our discomfort for relevant reasons was pretty disappointing. Goodbye $1000.

We had a really nice stay. We loved using the hot tub while it was snowing. Coming in to sit by the fire after that was even better (just bring your own firewood). The cabin was spacious, it had a great coffee/tea bar, and plenty of games andmovies for the family.

Great place in the woods! Lots to do for our family

This home was perfect! Pool table, ping pong, and the hot tub all were perfect. The walking trails in the woods are nice and we were able to walk 2.5 miles winding around the property. Beautiful location, isolated, yet within 10-15 minutes to restaurants and Nashville. We were there during a snow storm and the next morning by 9am the driveway, which is probably 1/4 mile to main road was plowed as well as the driveway area around the house. The perfect get-away.

Very cozy. Perfect for a girls weekend. Nice little touches added for guests. The cabin does have a strong Smokey smell from the wood burning stove. A humidifier would be a great addition to prevent dryness! We loved it and will be back!

Quiet place nestled back in the woods. Peaceful. Everything you need and more is in the cabin. Would stay there again!

We really loved this cabin. Even though it’s a few minutes from downtown Nashville, the peace and quiet and seclusion is exactly what we were looking for. This is a great private retreat for anyone looking for a beautiful cabin getaway!

Loved the castle in the woods! Only thing I’d suggest is bring your own firewood as there isn’t any there.

Was it absolutely terrifying…. yes. Was it absolutely one of the best experiences i have ever had…. YES! Spent our entire time playing pool (pls invest in chalk) and drinking hot chocolate. Absolutely the perfect get away if you live a stressful life!

We had such a great time! The property was beautiful and secluded. We really appreciated all of the amenities inside and outside the house (pool table, hot tub, fishing hole, movies, bonfire pit, and paths on the property). Would definitely return!

This cabin was a beautiful and private getaway that was not only clean and spacious, but also was accurately depicted by the photos. Would highly recommend and go back again if ever in the area!

We absolutely loved this place! Was a great place to relax. Our only issues were that the hot tub was not working and the toilet in the half bath upstairs was loose. We would love to do again some day!

We loved our stay! Very secluded and quiet, which made for very peaceful mornings. There was plenty to do on the property between board games, backyard games, and walking around the surrounding area, but the drive to nearby towns is also fairly easy! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need utensil-wise, but would recommend bringing your own specialty items. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay!

Great property would definitely stay again

Spent a nice, relaxing week at this property with my family. The cabin is well equipped with amenities. Had a chance to catch a few fish in the pond, grill steaks, and make a fire for s’mores.
The peace and solitude at night was great.

Host communicated clearly and was responsive to our needs. While leaving the property one afternoon we noticed a large tree had snapped and was precariously hanging across the gravel driveway. We notified the host and by the time we got back to the property just a couple hours later the tree had been downed and safely moved to the side of the driveway.

second time going and we plan to come back in near future! awesome place!

We enjoyed our weekend getaway! The cabin was clean and spacious, we loved the hot tub, games and nature the space offered and we really liked how easy the drive was to get into town to do some shopping! We would 100% book this place again in the future 🙂

Beautiful, secluded, and peaceful place to get away from reality for a bit!

A Woodland Castle was perfect for our getaway with our grown children and young grandson. Plenty to do even if you never left the property. The driveway could be a challenge if there was mud, ice, or snow, but we loved the privacy. Eric's driving directions were very helpful, though it's not well marked at the road. It was a great long weekend!

We had a nice stay in this castle in the woods. The house has plenty of space and lots of facilities like games, tv and good internet. I loved the rocking chairs on the porch…?

Eric is a great host, have now stayed at multiple locations of his and always a great stay.

We wanted somewhere away from everyone and this cabin was secluded in the best way possible. A lot of woods around to explore without having to leave. Beautiful and serene. Can’t wait to go back!

my husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway before our baby comes. The property was gorgeous. We went fishing and caught a catfish that we released. It was very relaxing and peaceful!

We enjoyed our stay in Brown County, and the cabin was absolutely beautiful! Very clean and cozy, and the views were incredible!

Lovely, quiet place to get away. The hot tub is great! We were there during some severe storms. There were trees down and part of the driveway washed out the next morning, and John hustled to get everything clears so we could get out. Would definitely stay here again.

Great, Peaceful place to stay. Loved the wooded area, lots of games to play and Nashville had a lot of stores and restaurants.
We had a few storms, and I would suggest leaving candles or flashlights closeby. The electricity was out about 3 hours, and we used our phones to find our way. All and all, I would recommend this beautiful house If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet, and private setting.

We visited for an anniversary getaway, and this was a great choice The cabin is secluded and very peaceful. It gives a rustic feel but doesn't lack in amenities. We enjoyed the hot tub and playing pool. We had our morning coffee and breakfast on the deck. We used the charcoal grill to cook steaks and veggies one evening. We even caught a few fish from the pond. The furniture and bedding was clean and made us feel right at home.
When we arrived, the cover was open on the hot tub due to a bad storm that had hit the area. We contacted the host about it and someone was there within about 10min to check it out and add a bit of water that had evaporated from it being open. Great service!
We drove to Nashville (15 minute scenic drive) and enjoyed lunch and looking through some shops. It is definitely worth checking out.
It was a great stay with a great host. I have already recommended to friends, and we plan to stay again and take our kids next time.

Our stay at the cabin was excellent! Walking in, you could tell it was cleaned very well. There was plenty of space for everyone, all the household items we needed, games and other activities outside to do, and we were very comfortable! It wasn’t far from downtown Nashville to eat and shop, which was a plus! We all agreed we would love to come back and stay again!

Loved our stay. Felt right at home. Was very clean. Absolutely loved the Christmas tree and decorations that were waiting for us. Was a wonderful surprise! Kitchen was well stocked. Wood fire place was worth paying for wood to be delivered. Appreciated the fire starters, too. Definitely recommend!

This hilltop cabin in everything Eric presents it to be and more! I was in desperate need of a quiet, solitude filled several days and wow, did Eric's place ever provide that! The space itself is so well planned out and appointed. Whether you are flying solo like I did or have up to 3 families, I highly recommend Eric's hilltop paradise.

The cabin was so cute and cozy and was a great distance from town to be secluded but also easily accessible. We loved our time there.

Our stay at the Woodland Castle was fabulous! Beautiful home, even better than the photos. Tons of board games, outdoor games, and great scenery. Tucked away in the perfect location and the best possible weekend get away. We wished we had more time and are already planning dates to return next Fall.

This was the perfect woodland getaway! The property was incredible and had beautiful views of fall color. We felt completely secluded while just a short (and gorgeous) drive from downtown Nashville.

I was surprised at all the amenities; I have never had a choice of Keurig or whole bean coffee! All the kitchen appliances you could need. Beds were comfy and there were plenty of movies and games for a rainy day. Would absolutely go back another time.

What a beautiful location! The seclusion was perfect for a restful recharge - watching the stars from the hot tub was wonderfull, and we saw a coyote from the front porch over morning coffee! The (huge) cabin is rustic and charming, with comfortable beds & ample kitchen amenities. This is going on our list of places to visit again!

This place was wonderful. Secluded and close to anything. The hill is steep to get up to the cabin but it’s beautiful once you get there.

We had a great stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods! It has a pond, trails, hot tub, game room and outdoor games. Very peaceful setting and close to downtown Nashville. Even better in person than the pictures show! Highly recommend it for a couple to a large family.

This is a great property for a family to stay that has plenty to do while also being secluded in nature. Lots of space for the family to do things outdoors with a great porch, fishing, hot tub, and outdoor game/fireplace area. If it rains, there’s a great upstairs space with a pool/ping-pong table, fuss ball table, and a PlayStation 2. Overall, a great place we would stay at again.

This property was beautiful, serene, and the small details around the home added the perfect touch. The drive to downtown Nashville felt like another part of the country. We had the perfect stay and will be back.

If you want quit and to feel at home it’s the place to be ,the surroundings were top notch and the fishing lake was on point had so much fun my lady even caught a cat fish walked on the trails and had fun with movie nite was really fun .the top deck and the stars was so tranquil and picturesque was really beautiful.Erics place is really stands out woodland castle is what a vacation home should be

My children and I really enjoyed our stay at A Woodland Castle! It was a beautiful place, lots to do inside & outside! Very clean with plenty of space and extra amenities! We did not want to leave. We are looking forward to coming back to stay for a longer period of time on our next trip!

We were looking for a space to relax and reboot. This was just the spot.

We enjoyed staying here. Saw deer and turkeys in the area and spent the weekend "unplugged" which was much needed. Would do it again anytime.

We had the best time at A Woodland Castle. We have used Moondance multiple times for cabin rentals and they never disappoint. This cabin in particular was a favorite and will definitely be back. Will have to bring the kids next time, there was so much to do!

We had a great time! Rec room w/bedrooms upstairs was perfect for our teenage kids! Location was peaceful! Loved all the trees and butterfly garden. We enjoyed the horseshoe pit area. We had a wonderful stay! It was a great time for us as a family! Thanks for opening your Woodland Castle up to families like ours! We hope to return!
