Brown County Cottage

Great place to stay and super cute! Everything was very clean and the beds were comfy. Loved the location!

Exactly like the pictures and very private for the most part. Loved the electric counter top perfect for simple meals. Really appreciated it being dog friendly but our pup was a little startled by the target practice coming from a nearby neighbor. Beds are super comfortable although the master bedroom was terribly warm constantly blowing hot air on our faces all night

Beautiful property!

Perfect getaway! Far enough away from town to relax, and close enough to drive in for some additional fun! The cottage was super cute and the front porch swing is a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee. Very close to downtown Nashville, Hard Truth Distillery, Brown County State Park, Bean blossom bridge, and the bean blossom over look. Definately coming back to this beautiful spot!

The outside appearance of the house looked unkempt. There were many trees limbs lying around, but the inside was very clean and beautiful. This is a private location, (no close in view neighbors) however; the road is very busy and not very quiet at all.

This place was perfect for what we needed! Close to town but far enough to feel like an escape. Clean and minimalistic. Dog friendly. The hot tub was a fun addition and the grounds were great for the dogs. Would definitely go back.

My wife and I loved staying at Eric’s place. We had a long weekend there. It’s close to downtown Nashville, but it’s a beautiful, private setting. We will be back.

Great stay for our anniversary, it was peaceful and secluded with beautiful surroundings. The hot tub was a treat at the end of the day and the furniture was so comfy. It had everything described and everything we needed. It was close to Nashville which is a beautiful getaway town.

We had a blast live the creek eric did a very good job. The only thing i saw needs checked is the hot tub i dont think it had enough chemicals in it. But other than that was good..

The Brown County cottage was a wonderful and cozy, simple, small country home. Perfect for just two people. and perfect for a dog as well, very comfortable. It has beautiful surroundings to sit outside with nature. The decor was country-themed, so clean and modern. Beds were comfortable. You might need a blanket, though, because the A/C vent blows directly onto the bed. And a light/flashlight is helpful at night- there are motion activated lights, but they don't stay on for extended periods of time. The entrance to the driveway is a bit hard to see at night, but after the first time, you will find it easier.
This is a very nice, simple cottage close to all the shopping in downtown Nashville. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful place to stay at and get back in touch with nature! So cozy and the hot tub made it even more relaxing. Love that it’s also close to restaurants and the state park.

Beautiful cottage that was within 10 minutes of town and all of the activities we were looking for, while being secluded and peaceful. We loved that it was dog friendly and our pups got to enjoy the get away with us.

Overall the stay was great. The heater was very finicky and all of it would get funneled into the main two bedrooms which left the cabin cold and the room like a sauna. Otherwise no concerns. Had a great time. Great location next to town.

My stay was great! I felt right at home in this cottage and didn’t need to bring anything extra. Towels were stocked and they even had some by the back door for when you use the hottub! Perfect little getaway ?

This location was awesome. The surrounding trees are beautiful and it is close to downtown Nashville/Hard Truth while still being private. The beds (doubles) were a little small, but worth it for the location/hot tub.

This cabin was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs! The property is HUGE with a beautiful view. It was cozy inside and super clean. Not too far away from town or the state park! It was the perfect place for a weekend away.

This cottage served as the perfect peaceful weekend getaway. The cottage is located in a private area but still a close drive into town and to Brown County park. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and reading under the shelter house located in the property. The home was clean and the small kitchen was well stocked with dishes and basic cooking dishes.

My partner and I were in town for a weekend of music at the first annual Pickin in the Backwoods music festival (highly recommend!) and were looking for a quiet retreat from the festival to sleep and refresh. This property was perfect for us! It was close to the venue and downtown Nashville, but far away enough to be quiet and secluded. We woke up to wildlife in the morning, and relaxing in the hot tub and stargazing post music was the perfect way to end our nights. Our host was responsive and kind when/if we needed to reach out. The space was clean and well appointed, but be sure to bring your coffee with you (we forgot) or you'll be forced to town and miss deer watching in the morning! We would absolutely make a retun visit for an event or tiny getaway. Truly lovely space!

Would definitely recommend and stay again, bring flashlights/candles if you plan to be outside after dark since it’ll be pitch black as soon as you go out the door and unfortunately there is no working outdoor lighting. Easy checkin and instructions from the host provided as soon as you book and very responsive with any questions you have later. Highly recommend!

We loved this stay! You’re secluded enough to find solitude while also being less than 10 minutes away from downtown Nashville. The house is right off of the road, but it’s not a major road in Nashville, and the hot tub is behind the house, so it never feels like you’re out in the open.

Great experience, super cute cabin. Private even though it is next to the road so you can hear cars on the road, although it’s not a busy road at all.

We really enjoyed our stay here with our dog. The property was exactly as described and the hot tub was SO clean - this was definitely the highlight for us! We also really appreciated the private parking in back. The only downside was how close the property was to the road. People drove very fast & I could see that being a potential issue with an untrained pet - but this wasn’t a problem for us. 10/10 stay!

We had a wonderful time at Eric's home. We spent our mornings and evenings in the hot tub, admiring the hills and trees covered in snow and listening to the creek run, and our days hiking and enjoying the picturesque town of Nashville. Highly recommend.

The Brown County Cottage was the perfect getaway for my husband and I and another couple! It was very close to downtown Nashville, IN where all the shops and restaurants are. It’s secluded just enough to feel peaceful. The house was well equipped for our stay and the hot tub was fantastic! We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit, but the set up for it was very nice. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to stay and visit Brown County!

We stayed here for a relaxing weekend as our "babymoon." It was the perfect spot! Quiet and cozy yet less than 10 minutes from anything we needed or wanted to do. High recommend staying here!

This property is beautifully serene. The cottage was warm, cozy & inviting. This was an easy place to relax and unwind and had everything we needed. There are plenty of close options for activities, dining, and shopping. We will definitely be back.

Well appointed clean cottage vibe. But plenty of room for two and our small pup. Easy short drive to Nashville. The only suggestion would be to have the outdoor lights over the hot-tub operational, very dark in the evening coming in and out. Eric was a great host and would highly recommend for a peaceful getaway

This was a fantastic stay! My family and dogs had a great time here. We had some wifi issues and Eric did everything he could to help us. It was much appreciated! The cottage was really good and even had “love wins” signage in the living room. It reminded me of one of my favorite verses!

Very relaxing weekend with the exception of the shooting range next door. Thankfully that only lasted about 2-3 hours on Sunday.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The property is extremely quiet and peaceful and made for a great weekend getaway. The home was very clean and had updated and cozy decor. We especially enjoyed use of the hot tub outside. I also appreciate that this rental is pet-friendly.

I do wish that prices were more apparent upon booking the rental - when notifying the host that I was bringing our dog, we were charged an additional fee. I understand the need for this additional fee but do wish this was made more clear when initially booking.

Additionally, I recommend adding more outdoor lighting in the back of the property (near parking). There were lights on the property but none of them worked, and it was extremely dark at night.

Overall we had a lovely stay and highly recommend this property. We will be back for future visits!

We had a lovely time at Eric's place. Highly suggest you find it in the light as it's easy to miss the driveway in the dark. Beautiful setting. Loved sitting in the swing on the front porch sipping coffee in the morning. Had a lovely fire in the firepit, roasted marshmallows & sang songs by the fire. Suggest keeping bedroom doors open at night or turning heat way down because they will warm right up with the heat on. It was a wonderful weekend with my 2 adult daughters & our dogs. Cabin does sit close to a somewhat busy country road, but there's plenty of acreage in the back to let them loose to run & play fetch. We even lucked into a Leann Rimes concert while we were in town! Brown County never disappoints. We will come back!

It was as described. We used it as a home base for a wedding and it was all we needed. Would have been nice to relax more and enjoy the property for another day without obligations, but overall it was great.

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cottage. Everything was described and incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Eric was wonderful and accommodating. The house had everything we needed- we just brought our toiletries. The kitchen was small but incredibly well equipped and we were easily able to prepare breakfast. The house was close to the road as some mentioned, but it did not take away from the peaceful vibe of the property. We absolutely loved sitting out back and enjoyed the pavilion and fire pit. We are incredibly appreciative that we could bring our dog and he had a wonderful time as well. This is definitely a place we will return to in the future. Thank you, Eric!

We came here for a short trip after our wedding. We wanted just a quick little getaway to reset as we are taking our honeymoon at a later date and this place was absolutely perfect. The property is beautiful, private, and close to town. We can’t wait to come back!

Eric's place was perfect for my friend & I. We had plenty of room. Make sure the time go, it's daylight. It's very difficult to find at night. The house sits very close to the road. The driveway is a bit before the house if you are coming from Nashville. I drove past the driveway every time I came back. There is a fun porch swing and rocker on the front porch. We liked it a lot and would stay again!

My Bestie and I had a wonderful spur of the moment trip in this cabin. Everything looked like the photos inside, super cute. We cooked 2 breakfasts and one dinner in this kitchenette and everything went well. Great location, it’s private (except passing cars) yet town and the attractions are all just a few moments away by car. I am an observer of the sky- I like to see the sun in the morning and the moon and stars at night… it is not easy to do this at this cabin unless you walk to the opposite side of the property. At night alone in the middle of the night I was bummed I couldn’t just walk out the door and see the sky because of all the tree cover. I love the trees don’t get me wrong, I even hugged a few haha. Enjoy this gem

Great place in a great location! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for weekend away. Some things to keep in mind - there wasn’t any shampoo/soap in the bathroom so make sure you bring your own. Our dog got five ticks from being around the property so make sure you check yourself and your pets every night!

Husband and I came to Brown County for a concert and stayed 2 days for a little getaway. We loved the Brown County cottage we stayed in. Very cozy and clean, great amenities and a beautiful setting. Will definitely be back!

Awesome place for a quick country getaway. Private loop in the back for parking. The hot tub was very nice and well maintained. Inside was clean and cozy and stocked with all your basic amenities. There’s a fire pit and some outdoor games in the pavilion. As a few others have mentioned, it is a little close to the road but not a dealbreaker by any means, there was basically no road traffic by the evening. Still feels plenty private. Will definitely have to stay here again sometime!

We loved this little cottage! It was spotless clean, very close to downtown Nashville (7 min) and Hard Truth (also about 7 min), but felt secluded and private. We enjoyed the hot tub, cooked meals in the kitchen, and found both beds very comfortable!

A nice getaway for the two of us and our pup. It was a great size for the three of us. Couch was comfy, beds were clean, and the backyard is a really cute little getaway. The house itself sits RIGHT on the road, and we were awoken a few times within the three nights by motorcycles driving by the house at night. But otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. Cozy and easy to find. We'd definitely stay again.
