Aside from poor communication regarding a change of lock code to enter the cabin, the cabin and stay itself were wonderful. The location was beautiful. The cabin was very well kept and clean. It felt cozy and loved. I enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. The location was great because it was a short drive to Brown County State Park, Hard Truth Distillery, and downtown Nashville. Overall, it was a great cabin and great trip. We loved everything about it. No complaints about our stay.

This place was awesome! Such a cozy place that had every amenity a cabin could need. The details were amazing, and it was a perfect Christmas getaway for our family! It felt like a Hallmark Christmas cabin straight from the movies ?

This was a wonderful cabin to stay on for a cozy weekend. The kitchen supplies were great, better than most for pots and pans and whatnot.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Charlie’s Cabin. The cabin is full of history and character, and we loved the little historical touches throughout that made the experience feel so special.

The location was peaceful and surrounded by nature, made even more beautiful by the snowfall. The cabin felt cozy and welcoming. The host was very quick to respond, extremely helpful, and made communication easy throughout our stay.

We would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone who appreciates history, charm, and a true Brown County experience, and we would love to return again.

Amazing Place! We could of stayed in the cabin the whole time!

Absolutely spotless upon our arrival. The cabin was very cozy and inviting. They take pride in the history of the cabin and have a lot of interesting things in the cabin going over the history. A LOT of board games were available which made staying inside refreshing.

Beautiful place to stay!

Oh where to start! You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into how they set up and decorated this home. From nightlights to fully stocked kitchen supplies, plenty of towels in the bathrooms and for the hot tub, to flashlights clearly everything was thought of. But the attention to detail: things like blankets for the dogs, a dog stick library, dog poop bags. There was always a cool antique decoration to look at, plenty of wall art, a working antique radio. And it was so nice that they went all out to decorate with fall decor! The banister had fall garland, fall print curtains on the windows, and lots of other fall decorations! The hot tub was SO relaxing and the beds comfortable. This is a place we will be visiting year after year now— it’s our new family tradition! Thank you!!

The attention to detail made it personal. I loved the Dog Stick Library for our pup. There was a bottle of wine as a "Thank you" gift, the family history of the place, made us feel we were staying at a friend's cabin.

Charley’s cabin was a beautiful, peaceful spot for our family to enjoy our fall trip to Brown County! We’d definitely go back!

This offered the privacy and scenery of a remote cabin with the modern benefits of a soundbar, smartTV, and full kitchen. We traveled with a toddler and we were so grateful for the space and all the activities in the entertainment area. (Side note - the air hockey table switch is on the cord, not the table.) The views are gorgeous and there is a lot of outdoor space for families to spread out. The location is a little bit of a drive from all the popular spots, but after the crowds at downtown Nashville I was grateful for that! It was a little pricey but for the space we had vs a hotel + our trip being during peak season, it was not unreasonable. Overall I’d return to stay and recommend to anyone.

Charlie’s Cabin was the perfect blend of rustic charm with all the modern amenities. The property is beautiful, wooded and private with lots of room to sit outside and enjoy nature. The cabin is comfortable and very well equipped. I really enjoyed exploring all the antiques that were used for decoration. We will definitely be back!

This was our first time in Brown County. We were looking for somewhere between Tennessee and our home to stay, and Charley’s Cabin was the perfect place for us! We have already started looking into coming to visit again!

A get away to Charley’s cabin was just what we needed! We took our pups and they absolutely loved it! We enjoyed the huge yard, fire pit, hot tub, and the games you provided. The cabin was very clean and smelled like fall when we walked in! I loved all the fall decor.. it felt like I was right at home. It’s also very close to beautiful hikes and town. I hope to book this cabin again later fall!

My finance and I absolutely loved Charley’s Cabin! The location was great and not far from Nashville, IN. The cabin was incredibly cozy and clean and had all the amenities we needed for a short weekend. The hot tub was awesome and we loved the view of the woods surrounding the cabin. We highly recommend this location to anyone and we will definitely be back!

One of the best Air Bnbs that I have ever stayed in. Will definitely be back!

We could not had picked a better getaway. The cottage is awesome and full of character. We spent the nights around the fire pit listening to owls calling back and forth. The cottage is adjacent to a country road that has its occasional "speedsters", but that did not change how much we enjoyed our stay. I would suggest updating the bed in the main bedroom, it wasn't the most comfortable, but again we would not hesitate at booking Charlie's Cabin anytime we're in Brown County!

Got off the grid for a few days with the family. The cabin was so cozy we didn’t want to leave! We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, hot tub, fire pit, charcoal grill, games (both outdoor and in), kitchen, beds, comfy reclining couch for when it rained…the list goes on! There are fans in the bedrooms upstairs, which was a nice touch on these hot, summer days! So many cool antiques and things to explore around the cabin. There is a Dollar General 5 mins away, should you need any groceries. Downtown Nashville is about 10 mins away. Just loved it! Hope to return again one day.

Charlie’s Cabin was perfect. Very private. Kevin made sure we had everything we needed. We loved being able to sit on the back porch and look into the woods with no one else around. It was so nice to soak in the hot tub after walking all day in Nashville. I would highly recommend staying here and plan on staying here whenever we make it back to this area.

Great place for a quiet getaway.

Very nice and clean cabin. We visit the Brown County area several times a year and usually stay in town, but decided to stay outside the downtown area this time. The cabin is in a very pretty location and had everything you could think of. We will stay here again.

The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s in a peaceful location where you can just sit on the front porch with no worries. Eric was an absolutely amazing host. There was lots of things to do such as games upstairs and outside there’s a fire pit. Eric thought of everything. The property was absolutely gorgeous and huge. The property is secluded, so if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle this cabin is it.

I've stayed in several AirBnBs and this one is at the top of my list! They've truly thought of everything. The upstairs bedrooms are cozy with comfortable beds, the kitchen is well stocked, the back deck and hot tub are fabulous, and we loved making a fire in the fire pit. This is a beautiful property and just a short, scenic drive to Nashville. Highly recommend!

Charley’s cabin was prefect for our Girls Weekend. The cabin was actually better than pictures! We enjoyed our time and will hopefully be back!!

We didn’t necessarily come to shop. We enjoyed the peaceful serenity of the landscape and surroundings. Nature, a hot tub, quiet and all the amenities of home! Priceless!

Absolutely beautiful cabin with a great yard ( not fenced) for our dogs. Even came with sticks to throw to the dogs. Cabin was very clean, I couldn’t find the kitchen trash can but that’s no biggie. TONS of stuff to do in Nashville, we went to the town, the distillery and of course hiking. Pretty pricey for 2 nights, but the cabin and property are very nice. Master bed was very comfortable, a little hot though. We had 78° weather for our March weekend trip!

my wife and I stayed here for just a couple nights to get away. We absolutely loved the cabin. Set on a beautiful property with a little walkinging trail and a huge fire pit. inside the cabin was perfect. lots of old-timey things like a typewriter, old phone. Upstairs was great with an air hockey table and TV. And of course the awesome enclosed hot tub and back deck.

This was our second stay at Charley's cabin. It was absolutely amazing! Lots of charm, history, beautiful back deck, welcoming flowers on the table, and a bottle of wine. The walking trails are clear and a perfect place to take our dogs for a stroll. Definitely one of our favorite places to go!

The cabin is spectacular, a great spot for families and couples alike. The grounds are wonderfully kept. The proximity to Nashville, the state parks, and surrounding towns is convenient. Finding the cabin is super easy.

Enjoyed a girls weekend at Charley's Cabin in Nashville, IN and the cabin was awesome! Plenty of space, very clean, the decorations were adorable and everything was labeled with how to use it, what to do with it, etc. You can tell alot of thought went into it. The hot tub down to the complimentary wine was perfect! It really was a great stay just wasn't expecting to be charged per person rather than a fixed rate for the cabin itself.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The location, interior and exterior were as we expected based on photos we saw in selection/booking process. The cabin isn't too far from other houses on the road BUT it still feels plenty private. Solitary complaint is car/road noise while relaxing in the hot tub but it's a super minor complaint, and we purposely chose a cabin that was on a road and not too far off the beaten path so, again, it's what we expected. The things that blew us away about this cabin we're the decor, cleanliness and just how inviting it was when we arrived. Beautiful lamps were on and the cabin smelled so good. There were other thoughtful touches that just made us feel so welcome. We had zero issues so didn't have to reach out to anyone, so I can't speak to responsiveness or customer service. We would 100% recommend this cabin to anyone and will choose this or another Moondance-managed property for future Brown County trips.

This place was a hidden gem! My husband and I came for a weekend getaway and it exceeded our expectations. The ascetic, cleanliness, and location was perfect and we could not have asked for a better way to celebrate NYE. It was one of the coziest places we have ever stayed. 12/10!

Was really happy with the cabin. Lots of nice touches with cool antiques. Convenient being 10 minutes from Nashville while still be quiet and remote.

We stayed here for the first time in the fall. The town of Nashville is a Stars Hollow lookalike. Everyone is so kind and there so much to do. Charley’s Cabin was better than expected! A private hot tub with a fenced in yard. The fall leaves were the perfect color. The cabin is so cozy and sleeping arrangements are so comfortable! I’ve already recommended this stay to several of my friends and I plan to come back.

What an incredible cabin! The place was so clean and organized, had great accommodations, and the little details did not go unnoticed. Not only did this cabin have some form of entertainment for everyone, it had history as well. From the neat artifacts from over 100 years old to the story of Charlie intertwined in the decor, this place a unique stay. I brought my daughter and two of her friends for the weekend to celebrate her turning 13! They enjoyed the hot tub, game room, and even the antique view finder! I enjoyed walking around the property and sitting on the back porch or by the fire pit. We had a wonderful time and were very pleased with every aspect of our stay!

Eric’s place was beautiful! We had a great time and everything was as described. We will be back!

Loved our stay at Charley’s Cabin. The cabin had everything that we needed. Instructions for everything were very clear. Very short drive from downtown Nashville and there were plenty of recommendations and games to play at the cabin. My only two complaints are that check in wasn’t until 4 PM -which wasn’t ideal for my family’s plans. Wish we knew this while booking so we could have planned differently. Second - one of the first few pictures on the listing shows the fire pit with a bunch of firewood behind it. When we got to the cabin, there wasn’t any firewood and instead there was a number you could call to purchase wood. This felt a bit misleading and I think the picture with the stocked wood should be updated to show the condition it was in during our stay.
Overall, these are two very minor complaints about what was a fantastic stay. Very peaceful, beautiful, and well stocked with everything you could need for your visit to brown county.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Eric’s place! The cabin was so quaint and even more beautiful than the pictures detailed! We truly felt right at home and our family made some incredible memories. It was also very close to downtown Nashville and all of the cute shops and restaurants. We will definitely come back again and look forward to staying at this beautiful cabin again!

I have nothing but positive things to say about Charley's Cabin. It was super clean, welcoming, and everything was accessible. There was a small snag at check-in but Eric's team was quick to resolve it.(Thank you Michael) There were plenty of fun games provided. The only thing I had an issue with is the sloped ceilings, especially in the upstairs bathroom. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with the price I paid for the quality experience that MoonDance provided.

We loved Charley’s cabin! So many personal touches with the antiques, game room and informational materials. The whole place was pristinely clean! Bathroom towels are pretty small, but that’s a very minor complaint. It was conveniently located to the shops and restaurants in Nashville. We loved hanging out in the hot tub and having fire in the fire pit. Great place!

This cabin and space is absolutely beautiful. We spent 3 days for a girls trip and can't wait to make it an annual thing. The walking path around the yard was nice to walk after meals. We really enjoyed our stay at Charley’s Cabin. The cabin and grounds have everything you could ask for from an Airbnb. The history of the cabin and surrounding area was tied in nicely. It’s a 10 minute drive to Nashville and Brown Co. State Park, so the location was perfect for our trip. We enjoyed the grill and hot tub. We also appreciated being able to have our dog with us.

I love this place. Very peaceful, easy check-in all the amenities and then some if you want a relaxing vacation this is the place. I would definitely stay again and again and again.

We had a great stay at Charley's Cabin with my daughter and her fiancé. It was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. We loved the outdoor fire pit and grill and the hot tub and games were fun. We would definitely stay again.

The history of this cabin, and the man who built it, is such an inspiration! The beech trees are Not carved on! The hot tub and back porch are fabulous, as are the new side deck and the fire pit area. You truly have thought of everything to ensure the making of wonderful memories! How the cabin sits off the road, but still on the road, is a nice accent while enjoying the front porch. Heard owls in the night 🙂 We will definitely be back and refer to others. Thanks so much for the preservation of Charley’s Cabin, and sharing it, affordably, for generations to come to enjoy. Blessings!!

We had a wonderful stay here for our anniversary. The cabin is beautiful and immaculately clean and the hot tub was so peaceful and relaxing. The back porch was a great place to set and enjoy our morning coffee. We will definitely be back in the future. I highly recommend this place & the host was amazing as well!

My husband and I brought my parents to Charley’s Cabin for a quick family getaway. The weather wasn’t ideal, but that didn’t really matter because the cabin was cozy with lots of games and amenities. We loved relaxing in the hot tub! Everything was clean, and we felt right at home. Highly recommended-we’d love to stay again sometime.

We had a great time the cabin was awesome. I honestly couldn’t have imagined a better place to spend our anniversary. Everything was clean and the cabin looked better in person than in the pictures. Hot tub was super easy to use as well. The upstairs does get hot with the heat even at 65-66 and it is QUIET at night, so I’d recommend taking a fan for some noise and to have some air movement upstairs at night. Nashville was a nice town to visit as well. If you drink, Hard Truth has the best whiskey I’ve ever tasted. We hope to come back sometime.

Check in was a breeze, very clean in every aspect. Details instructions for everything in house. Lots of games upstairs which was great. The local bottle of wine greeting really made a great start to our stay. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Charley's Cabin for 3 days and everything was perfect. Everything was clean, smelled amazing when walking in. Everything was cozy and soft. The hot tub with the woods behind and the lighting was perfect. We were suprised to see all the Christmas decorations and lights outside which made my day. Moondance was exceptionally fast at responding to emails We had and even recommended a great place to eat when asked. We have already planned to stay again this summer. Thank you for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Extremely comfortable and reminded me of good times on my own family land!

We wanted to immerse ourselves in nature and Charlies cabin was a great place to start! A beautiful log cabin with a lot of antiques and history. The kitchen was well stocked and had coffee and other hit drinks available. Beautifully decorated inside and out. We were close to lots of parks to hike in. Close to Nashville shops and restaurants. We were happy we could bring our lab. We would like to come back when its a little warmer.

The cabin was fantastic. Clean and great location. Team was very responsive to messages and questions.

2 things to note: a lot of rules on the property. Made us a bit stressed with so many labels and heat/AC being monitored. Also, there was no where in the listing that noted the ‘extra’ cost for pets. Pets allowed and nothing was noted. If I missed this, please let me know.

Charley's Cabin is so much bigger than what the pictures show on the Moondance website! We were amazed at the size! It's a gorgeous cabin and there are so many extra amenities than what most cabins offer. When we first walked in, we were greeted with such a lovely scent. Everything was IMMACULATE! We had the best time during our stay and we are already planning our next trip where we hope to book Charley's Cabin again. The service you provide made everything about our trip so wonderful! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

It is a pet friendly cabin, yet you would never even know!! We couldn't believe how nice this cabin was! It was private, yet only 10 minutes from town. Eric was extremely friendly and quick to respond! We are actually staying at another one of his cabins this weekend and look forward to it! I've been recommending this place to frienda and family!

A hidden slice of heaven!

This cabin was absolutely beautiful. It is so peaceful at night. We took advantage of the front porch and the back porch. The scenery is so gorgeous. My boyfriend and I took this little weekend getaway on the suggestion of my daughter who has been to Nashville, Indiana before. It was better than I expected. We even brought our rescue dog Charlie along. He loved all the smells and loved hiking the little trail behind the cabin. We took advantage of the hot tub as well.

We spend the entire day on Saturday in the Brown State Park and then shopping downtown Nashville. Everyone was so friendly and pleasant to talk to. If you are looking for a getaway, I would highly recommend the place. The cabin was spotless and had everything you would need for a weekend away. Thank you for sharing this special cabin with others.

It was the best experience! Eric was the best host, he responded to the messages immediately.
For days of relaxation it is the best place, waking up to the sound of nature was incredible. The house inside and outside is very clean, it basically has all the essentials for the stay there. Enjoyed staying at the cabin. It was very clean and quiet. Easy to find, but still in a very wooded area. Everything was easy to use. The hot tub didn’t seem to want to turn off but I think we got it after a few tries. Beautiful space to sit and enjoy being outside.

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Charley's Cabin. It was exactly what we needed/wanted! Very peaceful and beautiful! We will definitely be back! ♥️

My friend and I stayed at the cabin for a writing retreat. It was a perfect spot. The cabin was cozy, the kitchen was well equipped, and the internet was fast and reliable. The location was quiet and secluded (however, it was pretty close to the street, and many drivers went quite fast, so if you bring kids or pets, you need to keep an eye open). The hot tub was relaxing, and they had a great fire pit and grill in the front yard. The back porch overlooked the woods, which made it particularly nice. Plus, the property manager was incredibly responsive whenever we had a question (e.g., we had a question about the water level of the hot tub on our third evening; it was well after business hours, and they responded within minutes!). We certainly would stay here again if we had the opportunity.

Charley’s Cabin was all it was described as and more. Beautiful & peaceful location. And while it was near the road, the traffic wasn’t bad at all. The cabin was spotless, beautifully presented, and well equipped, . I would definitely recommend staying here.

This was the perfect stay for my family and I. Remote but easy to get to and nearly all the amenities you could need.

What a beautiful getaway spot to celebrate 35 years of marriage. We enjoyed everything about our stay at Charley’s Cabin and can’t speak highly enough about it. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub and sitting by the fire after a day of hiking in the state park and shopping in Nashville. We hope to return in the future and will definitely use Moondance Vacation Homes when planning our trip.

Beautiful, clean cabin in a very relaxing setting. The hot tub was definitely a favorite as was the fire pit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again sometime.

The cabin was beautiful. It was clean and everything was just as described. The beds were super comfy. The jacuzzi outside was awesome! Thank you for making our trip to Indiana awesome!

Wonderful place to stay! Everything was well cared for, spotless, and thoughtful. The house was even nicer than the pictures and the location was perfect. Once of the best AirBnB’s we’ve stayed in! Highly recommend.

This was the nicest rental for Airbnb/ VBrO we have ever done in multiple states and Puerto Rico.
The rooms were clean, house smelled great, beds were comfortable, and the added extra amenities of games, kitchen items, bathrooms, and hot tub.
We had zero issues

Very quiet peaceful and serene. A lot of nature to be explored and admired.

Charley's Cabin was a wonderful stay! Very clean and just as described and seen in pictures. About 10 minutes from shops and restaurants in Nashville. The location was a good mix of being private and set away from the hustle and bustle, but also close enough to town. The hot tub was a great addition, as well as all the fun games, both inside and outside. Many interesting and historical touches in the cabin as well. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Awesome place and host!

The location is great and there is plenty to keep you entertained in the cabin and out whether the weather is crappy or perfect. The fact that it’s dog friendly is what made it absolutely perfect to me.

Highly recommend staying at Charley's Cabin! From the moment we walked in we felt at home. Everything was extremely clean, organized, and well taken care of. There were little touches throughout the cabin that made it unique.

The cabin was beautiful!! We loved the hot tub and reading all the history! Perfect weekend getaway!

We absolutely enjoyed the cabin though we were a little put off by the location. The pictures on the wedsite were a little deceiving. We were under the impression that the Cabin was secluded, in the woods, off of the road away from others, this was not the case. Though it was beautiful we a little put off that the fire pit was in the front yard, traffic going by constantly even police sirens at one point. It was not as secluded and private as we had hoped. The only other thing was that a coffee pot would have been greatly appreciated!! No one wants to fight for that first cup off coffee in the morning so the one cup kurig was not cutting it lol.
Overall we enjoyed the Cabin and will not hesitate to visit again but now we know what to expect

Celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary with a weekend away at this cabin. It was small & beautiful. Definitely had the best hot tub set up we’ve seen yet! Location was great for venturing into Nashville.

We had such a great & relaxing stay at Charley’s Cabin. The house was cozy. The weather was perfect for us to sit outside on the porch & also enjoy the hot tub. We can definitely envision us coming back and staying at Charley’s cabin again!

This was our first vacation as a couple and we thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. So much we have decided to book this same cabin over Labor Day weekend and any other future trips to Brown County. The cabin was very welcoming.

I stayed at Charlie's Cabin when I went down to see Weird Al Yankovic at the Brown County Music Center. It was so nice, clean, and well kept. They even left a complimentary bottle of wine from the Brown County Winery!

This cabin and stay was simply fantastic. Beautiful atmosphere and grounds. Thoroughly enjoyed the firepit, games, and the relaxing nature of this beautiful place. Also, the hot tub. The best part is that we became engaged last night at the firepit! We most definitely look forward to a return stay at this wonderful place!

This is my first time renting a cabin in years and I'm so glad I picked this one! I came down from Indy to see Weird Al at the BC Music Center and this peaceful little cabin was the perfect spot to relax after his crazy show! Thank you!

The wife and I decided to getaway for Christmas the year with the dog. We booked Charley’s cabin for the hot tub and views and it did not disappoint. The fireplace made it feel very cozy and warm inside. I have zero complaints about the place and Weill definitely be back again.

This was a great little cabin for our short get-away. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was stocked well with cooking and dining essentials. I enjoyed reading about the history of the property and surrounding area. The cabin is in a great location too. It’s in a somewhat secluded area, but still close to many areas of interest. We had a very relaxing, enjoyable time staying at Charley’s Cabin.

We loved Charley's Cabin. We enjoyed the most the woods, the fire pit, the deck, the hot tub, hook & loop game, and the kitchen. Two bathrooms is a bonus. The style was comfy & cozy and felt great to drive up & walk into. The air was invigorating and relaxing and the location was great for a real getaway, while being close enough to nearby attractions. We will definitely book again!

We had such an amazing time in the hills of Brown county. Relaxing environment

For a “rustic” cabin, the place was very clean and functional. It’s nice and close to all the downtown shops and sights. It’s an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a quiet weekend getaway.

Would definitely stay here again! The location is perfect, close enough to all the things to do but far enough to feel secluded and enjoy peace and quiet. There were so many places to sit and relax outside, with so many options of views. Inside was just as relaxing and entertaining.

Great little weekend getaway! I love that my pups were able to come, there wasn’t a limit on how many (i have 3) or a breed restriction. Eric responds very quickly and answers any questions had. The place was very cute and clean, I can’t wait to go back!

Charlie’s cabin is a great place to relax. It’s a good place if you have kids with its own trail and games and large fire pit area. The living space is comfortable and the outside space is very nice. Also right around the corner from the cabin is a great place to eat called the Farmhouse Café and tea room. We highly recommend.
