Blue Moon Log Cabin

A very comfortable stay! The location was pretty quiet and private. The cabin is older, so it has it's quirks, like older heating methods, uneven room transitions and short doorways, but nothing that was detrimental.

The gas fireplace and 2-person (private) hot tub were the selling points for our booking, and they did not disappoint on our (very cold) winter weekend getaway! Cozy indeed!

We had an absolutely perfect getaway staying at Big Woods Cabin. It was like stepping out of a crazy busy world into a beautiful, peaceful & cozy environment. We picked this cabin based on the photos and it did not disappoint. The cabin was clean, smelled fresh, and had all the little extra touches that one would desire when staying away from home. The four poster bed was simply beautiful which matched all the antique furniture that surrounded all the spaces.

Eric‘s communication while at the cabin was amazing. He replied within minutes when I texted with a question. He always supplied good answers and great recommendations.

We would highly recommend a visit to Big Woods Lodge, the only thing I would’ve done differently would have been to have stayed longer.

We had a great time the hot tub was just the perfect size for the two of us. The cabin was very spacious and the bed was so cute. My personal favorite was that beautiful claw foot bath tub. I did have a little trouble finding the place, it was probably gps’s fault but we had a great time after that little hiccup.

The place was very clean. Nice, quiet property. Very conveniently located to area attractions!

Home was far enough out of town that we had the quiet and privacy we love but close enough that we were in the heart of Nashville within 10 minutes

I give the cabin and grounds itself 5 stars! It was the perfect, rustic, quiet escape! The bed was so incredibly comfy and the hot tub was amazing after a day of hiking! Eric was quick to respond and definitely a great host! The only reason I did not give 5 stars across the board was because it does sit on a fairly busy road, which can be loud when you are sitting outside. Otherwise it was great!

Awesome place to stay and a great location.

This is a “ period” , self declared “ antique” home, that is kept up with much care and character that i appreciated.
Keurig coffee maker, coffee , tea and supplies were terrific, and easy to use hottub was a great bonus!

My wife and I spent our 15th year anniversary here and we loved every moment of it! This home looked actually how the photos displayed, even better in person. Very spacious and tons of furniture to get comfy on. The hot tub and the private back area was our highlight, with the bedroom coming close to beating that spot. Not sure what it was, but the bed and the pillows provided gave us the best sleep we ever had in any other rentals! The area is also close to an amazing town filled with great food and places to shop! I definitely recommend this place for anyone to try, it’s well worth the trip and the money! Thanks again Eric!

Second time staying here. Very peaceful and quiet great place to recharge my batteries and get away from the rat race with my wife. Super close to Nashville and just a short drive to Columbus with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Already looking forward to next year.

This cute little cabin was the PERFECT little getaway for me and my significant other! Not only was the location secluded and full of wildlife, but it was super close to Lemon lake. We had a delightful stay at this little cabin…perfect for the two of us for a getaway to Brown County! The kitchen was well supplied with coffee and tea and about everything you’d need if you wanted to cook in. We made use of the grill and appreciated their supplying charcoal! Enjoyed the hot tub every evening and the fireplace on the cooler mornings. Comfortable king sized bed. This appears to be a historic modernized cabin. We found it dark with the pine paneling but definitely cozy and comfortable.

We were looking for somewhere to stay (at the last minute) to relax and spend a peaceful 14yr anniversary. This place was great! Had every thing we needed and more! ?

we loved the cabin! clean, cozy, and perfect for a couples getaway. nashville is only 10 minutes away with lots of cute shops and places to eat, but you don't even need to leave if you don't want to. the kitchen is perfectly clean and stocked with coffee, tea, spices, dishes, etc. highly recommend, and we plan to be back!

the fireplace and hottub are also excellent additions that make the place cozy and romantic.

We absolutely loved the log cabin experience that Eric Provided! Eric was easy to get a hold of, the cabin was super cute! The cabin was clean and had everything you needed! Loved the coffee, tea, hot chocolate bar! All dishes were clean and dust free! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need! Comfortable Bed. Nice fire pit and hot tub! About 10 minutes to town! The property is large, plenty of space to walk around, surrounded by beautiful trees and was peaceful!

The blue moon cabin was a lovely place to spend our weekend. it was very clean and we loved the available coffee and hot chocolate. The hot tub was very relaxing as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Extremely well stocked and decorated beautifully. Loved the feel of it with antiques and rustic touch. Enjoyed using the hot tub especially in the mornings and hearing all the birds! Only drawback was the fireplace. We tried several times to manually light it as we were informed igniter wasn't working and pilot wouldn't stay lit. Eric responded promptly with suggestion and even sent someone out. We were still unable to get it to stay lit. But it didn't diminish our overall experience. Would definitely return again!

Peaceful & quiet! Easy drive to Lil Nashville & all the shops & wineries!! Could use a little more light inside the cabin for work purposes…. Internet was fabulous! Would suggest a foldable step ladder for clawfoot tub (which was AMAZING)! It sits so high & is so deep, you can’t help but wanna soak in it!
Toilet water pressure seemed to need a boost. Overall, beautiful experience & would stay again, but also know there’s no mirror which easily reflects your image (rustic).

This was the perfect cabin for a little mother-daughter getaway! The kitchen is stocked with any appliance/amenity you can think of! I especially loved the antique vanity in the bedroom, as well as the old school desks for nightstands!

The place was great for the short getaway for our anniversary. The hottub was a nice addition. They had everything you could possibly need there. Including toiletries toothbrushes. Everything was there. You needed to bring nothing if you didn't want to. My only thing would be i didnt realize the clawfoot tub was so high. Had this been a month earlier i dont think i could've got in to shower having just had knee surgery.
But yes we loved staying at Blue Moon and would recommend to any1

Super cute and very comfortable! Felt right at home! Close to the parks Nashville IN. No trouble getting around. Had everything you could possible need and more! The yard was very nice! We saw deer a few times and our dog just stood there in awe. She felt right at home as well. I like that they included things for my dog’s comfort at well. Bathroom had everything you could need and more! I would recommend!

Blue Moon is so cute and quaint. Loved how it was decorated and all that was supplied! Wonderful coffee bar, loved how everything was labeled. The clawfoot tub was amazing, didn’t use it but is so nice. We did feel the bedroom could use a window air conditioner as it was warm while sleeping. Eric was great! We will definitely stay here again!

This was a wonderful weekend stay! The cabin was mostly private with beautiful scenery but only a few minutes from downtown. I really appreciated the complimentary toiletries and all of the small things that make a stay much easier. Eric was very responsive to our needs. The only thing we were not prepare for was the smaller door frames throughout the cabin as my 6’3 husband had to continuously duck going in and out of rooms. However, it was just something to be aware of. The cabin was very cozy and we will definitely be back!

The cabin was really cute and such a peaceful setting during a cold winter stay! Although we didn’t had the opportunity to use the hot tub (it was sub zero temps while we were there), the cabin had everything we needed and was an easy drive to nearby Nashville! We definitely consider coming again!

Went here for a short 2 night getaway. It was very clean and cozy. Everything was as described and I would recommend this cabin to anyone needing a weekend vacation. Cabin stayed warm even in the bitter cold weather. Five stars.

There were lots of thoughtful nice-to-haves scattered throughout the cabin, and check-in eas so easy. We couldn't get the fireplace to work, but that may be more on our end than the owner's. It was a beautiful setting not too far from downtown Nashville and was an overall great little getaway. Definitely recommend.

The Blue Moon Cabin is absolutely lovely. Our stay was full of the country luxuries of feeling like we had all the time in tne world, from taking long baths in the claw footed tub, to soaking in the hot tub listening to the rain fall. Our stay was not long enough.

Blue Moon Cabin! Fit all our needs and expectations. Second time here as it’s close to Bill Monroe for blues fest. First, the bedding is Devine!!!! It’s so important to me as fibro is a problem, I have excellent bedding at home so my body can heal with good rest, well, this bed and mattress and pillows were pure heaven! Hot tub clean and clear!!!! Kitchen was so very kind with kcups and tea. We wanted for nothing here! Hottest days this summer and the air conditioning was superbly cool and delightful!!! Thank you so much for the southern hospitality! Cheers and peace to all.❤️

Nice rustic cozy home that’s perfect for a get away that’s close to Nashville!

We loved every moment of the stay. We were able to relax and enjoy each others company. We did get a bit uncomfortable in the bedroom as there is only a window AC unit in the living room and it was very warm in the bedroom. Also the tv in the living room had a blue color to it and we were not able to fix it. Other than that we LOVED everything about it.

It was a great place to getaway for our anniversary. Super close to town but far enough away to enjoy some privacy. Adorably decorated and very well furnished. Loved the private curtains on the patio for the hot tub!! The keurig and coffee bar were amazing too! Will definitely be visiting again!!!

The only thing we didn’t like was the window AC unit in the living room area doesn’t cool the bedroom. That room gets hot in the summer.

Great Cabin near a state forest. Really nice to have such a beautiful property to stay on. Eric is super responsive and responds to any questions or comments quickly. Cabin was nicely equipped with almost everything you could possibly need. Kitchen has all the supplies and I really liked the coffee bar area with many Keurig choices and all the flavored creams to make your coffee tasty. There is a grill with charcoal and lighter fluid supplied so a BBQ is possible with a dip in the hot tub after -great way to spend the evening. Only possible downsides for me was slow wifi and weak cell signal (but that goes with being in a forest) and A/C is only in living area, not bedroom. I would definitely stay here again.

Very lovely, comfortable little cabin. Tons of little extras!! It is right on the main road and very easy to find. It was not private with a neighbor looking down on us and partying loudly and a next door neighbor as well. if you don't care about the privacy aspect, this is a fabulous place to stay!! we would definitely stay here again.

My boyfriend and I just spent the weekend in the blue moon cabin. The cabin was clean, beautifully decorated and was fully stocked. I loved the bath and spa amenities but having a keurig, coffee pot with coffee and creamer will bring me back. We will be back to visit soon again.

Wonderfully rustic cabin in Brown County, Indiana. We loved the themed décor and the quaintness of the place.

This sweet old cabin has updated comforts. The owners provide coffees, teas, and creamers and honey on their coffee station. Also a dog station! 2bowls, poop bags, treats, and blankets! The kitchen and bathroom are both well stocked with supplies.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Blue Moon Cabin! The owners really thought of everything you could need plus more! The only thing I want to draw to people’s attention is how beautiful this antique cabin is with all its quaint little touches and antique door frames. My husband is 6’4” so he did hit his head a few times on the door frames until he got use to it. The owners have put up signs to try and remind people but just in case I thought people should be aware that the doors are original to the 1911 home. Definitely felt like home and if your looking for a somewhere to get away and completely relax, this is the place to go!

My wife and I went for a long retreat weekend. The cabin was VERY quaint, clean, well stocked, and well kept. We would definitely stay here again.

Blue Moon cabin was perfect for my getaway. I only stayed two nights and cooked dinner with some good girlfriends and they had what we needed to cook dinner, enjoy the hot tub and have an amazing reunion. The cabin is private, cute and quaint! Plus they provided robes, slippers, bathroom products and coffee. They even had a welcome desk with everything you need to know about Nashville and a little gift! Would highly recommend!

We spent 4 wonderful days at Blue Moon cabin and could not have been more impressed! The cabin was decorated for the season, they even left us a card and Christmas present to open. It was beautiful. They had thought of everything as well. Any amenity we needed was ready to go. We literally could have only brought food and clothing, everything else was there. The owners went above and beyond all expectations. I am definitely looking forward to planning our next vacation with Moondance. 🙂

We simply cannot say enough positive things about this cabin! So many thoughtful amenities. We were just blown away by the care that the host took to make the Blue Moon cabin a perfect place for a retreat! We will definitely make it a priority to stay here again. The fireplace, hot tub, claw foot tub, king size bed (very comfortable), cleanliness, kitchen amenities, pet amenities, bath robes and slippers… all appreciated immensely! We really enjoyed our stay at Eric’s place. It was fairly close to everything, only 10-15 minutes away. We enjoyed being a little ways away because it felt more private. We loved the little details such as the coffee bar, the pet area, and the bath accessories. We definitely will be choosing to stay here again the next time we return to brown county!

Blue Moon Cabin is beautiful. One of the best places I’ve stayed! Everything was perfect and clean. The claw tub and fireplace are the best.

My wife and I really enjoyed our recent stay at the Blue Moon Cabin. Moondance Vacation Homes made the registration and check-in process very easy. The cabin was clean, well appointed, and had everything we needed for our visit. Will definitely consider booking the Blue Moon Cabin again!

A cozy little cottage near Nashville, IN that is just as beautiful on the inside as it is the out. They have about everything you could want for a quiet weekend (or long weekend) getaway. The spa/hot tub in the back is only for 2 and it really hits the spot after any kind of activity. The Wi-Fi and overall signal of the area is very poor, so if you’re expecting to cozy up and watch Netflix by the fire, that’s not happening. Not only do they request that you do not stream, but I don’t think you could anyway. They do provide some movies for you, but it may not be a bad idea to bring your own dvd’s. If you’re a book person, you’ll be just fine. The bed is very noisy so I hope they get a new one soon. My wife and I were constantly waking each other up moving around in bed, so if you toss and turn at night, don’t expect to get a good nights sleep unless you move to the couch (which is pretty comfy, so it’s not a horrible alternative). All in all this place is absolutely beautiful and gives off a fairy tale type of vibe for sure! Awesome place!

The cabin was intricately setup with nearly countless amenities. The kitchen had a Kuerig which is why I had a few K-Cups, along with a little more than the basic kitchen equipment with which to cook. The cabinets are labeled making it easy to find stuff and put it away clean. The refrigerator was more than adequately cold. The Air Conditioning had a remote control. TV above the fireplace and in the bedroom, both with satellite and DVD player. There was some Bluetooth options as well on the equipment. The couch was comfortable with the extra-soft blankets, and I almost wish it was cooler to use the indoor fireplace too. The bathroom had numerous soaps, shampoos, bath bombs, towels, razors, wash clothes, etc. The rooms are carefully decorated in detail with the "Blue Moon" theme. I don't think there's room enough here to explain how a log cabin had more extras than a 5-star resort room that I previously stayed at. The deck had curtains for privacy in the hot tub. I also saw a firepit circle and a grill in the back. Even the driveway was lined with blue circle reflectors ("blue moons").

Cabin was very rustic inside and out we enjoyed looking at everything. All the amenities where very much appreciated even tho we didn’t use them.the cabin was beautiful

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for! a perfect getaway spot for the two of us! A short drive from hiking and Nashville really made our days easy and relaxing!
one note: It didn't affect our enjoyment of the stay at all, but the Wi-Fi is pretty slow if that is important to your stay.

Very quiet and relaxing

We stayed at the Blue Moon log cabin for a weekend getaway. Great little cabin. Perfect couples place. The amenities were superb, the cabin was meticulously cleaned, the hot tub was great & overall very relaxing. There was even a complimentary bottle of wine for us to share. Perfect for an early 25th wedding anniversary surprise! Definitely recommend this cabin for two!! We will surely be renting from Moondance Vacation again... probably this same cabin.

This was my first Air BNB stay, and it was great, the cabin is large, clean, close to town. Plenty of cool touches I didnt even expect, coffee, robes, slippers. We had a great stay and we will come back when time allows.

Loved all the little touches, from hot tub safe aromatherapy to the bath salts, it really felt like you were trying to give your guests something special. Cute little place just outside of Nashville by about 10-15 minutes. Great space for a dog to run, wonderful deep tub and fun hot tub!

We had a wonderful time at the Blue Moon cabin with our two kittens this week. The little home touches like complimentary wine and popcorn were so nice! The cabin was clean and cozy, and we loved the tea bar and the bath salts most of all. Tip would be to download some videos if you plan to stream any movies or tv shows before leaving home, as the WiFi is not strong. Otherwise, there are recent Redbox movies available, and a fun husband and wife conversation starter game! Bring some books and puzzle, and you’ve got a great week.

This place is one of a kind. Nestled in the woods with deer visitors, a fire pit, hot tub, and a porch swing. Inside there was an abundance of kcups, bathroom amenities, hair turbans, towels, robes and slippers! I would recommend this lodge.

Perfect! 5 min out of town on same road so zero turning to get lost. In town quickly for shopping, dining, entertainment, etc. And then back to the cabin quickly for peace & quiet, privacy and romance. Zero negative issues. Hot tub was fantastic, we both loved it. Wife loved the claw foot tub with bath salts. She also loved the gas fireplace. Bed was huge and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need if you desire to cook. Just a perfect, quiet, peaceful, romantic get a way. Definitely worth every penny. You'll never get any of that in a hotel or place in town.

The cabin is nicer than the pictures. It is quaint and rustic, but with all the modern necessities. Lovely decorations, with plenty of pillows and throw blankets. Cozy gas fireplace and private location. Smooth check-in and great communication with owners.

My fiancée, toddler, and I stayed at this cabin for 2 nights. It was well-stocked, comfortable, and very cute. We loved the fireplace, grill, claw foot tub, fire pit, and hot tub. We left feeling very relaxed and can’t wait to come back!

We were a bit nervous as we pulled in since it seemed a bit awkwardly placed, but once we got settled and realized how close to town we were more at ease.
The thermostat was a little hard to figure out since the weather shifted a bit during our stay, but once we got the hang of it it was fine! Also the fireplace was fantastic the colder nights and we really appreciated the use of such a well stocked kitchen. Having all the extras in the kitchen and bathroom was also really nice! The large bed was also great since I’m used to air BnBs with much smaller sleeping arrangements.

Overall a cute little cabin and we would have gladly extended through the weekend if we were able!

I loved staying at the Bluemoon with my husband for 2 nights. We loved all the antique decorations to make the cabin cozy. The hot tub was nice. But I was in love with the big old bath tub. This little cottage is the perfect getaway spot! It’s so cozy and relaxing and the location is great—you can take trips into Nashville, Brown County State Park, or Bloomington and find lots to do. Or you can enjoy some tea or coffee and watch movies at the cottage. It’s so clean, and Eric is a phenomenal host and so easy to communicate with. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here if you’re vacationing in the area!

It was a great stay for Hubby and me. We brought our two furkids. Just a quiet Christmas getaway. Neighbors played awesome Christmas music outside behind us on Christmas Eve. Added to the atmosphere. Hosts thought of everything to make it special, candles wine, robes for the hot tub. When we got there had little issue figuring out the door lock. We didn't know that the key pad would glow. I never did receive the email from the host but it all worked out great! Eric was quick to answer my call!

Great couples location. Extremely relaxing. Has a gas fireplace, DVD player and fire pit. We brought items like aluminum foil and seasonings but didn’t even need to because the kitchen was so well-stocked. We lost power in a big storm, and it was back on in five hours with lots of personnel in the town fixing lights and power lines and fallen trees quickly. Very responsive via Airbnb message and phone call to the front desk.

Eric was a wonderful host. The cabin was a delight and was well stocked w everything one could hope for. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a respite!

Very nice site on a quiet road. Interesting tub/shower arrangement, think of an old fashioned claw foot with curtains for the shower. Was blazing hot so we didn't use the hot tub, but it was available. Would stay again if we are ever up that way.

This was by far one of the best rentals we have stayed in! VERY well/stocked kitchen and bathroom, personal touches everywhere, excellent attention to detail, very clean, and very cozy. We will definitely be staying here again! The hot tub was the perfect set up as well. Thank you so much!

What an adorable little cabin tucked away so you can get away from it all! Everything we could have needed or thought about was there... a nice bottle of wine, bath salts, hot tube, coffee, and tea, etc. This place is immaculate & worth it!

Nice quiet getaway. It was slightly removed from town but close enough to the action as well. Signal is a bit spotty here and there as expected but having some maps downloaded when you have access to WiFi could be helpful in a pinch. We had a great time and definitely recommend this stay. We would definitely return.

Well stocked lovely little cabin with extra little gifts which were nice. We enjoyed our stay here! Owner was super responsive anytime we had a question which took some worry off our minds, since we’ve never rented through Airbnb before. We had a nice relaxing time. Be aware that if you stay here the neighbors do have two dogs that will come down the mountain behind you and greet you, but they don’t come onto the property. The neighbors were very respectful and kept the dogs away for the most part. The cabin itself more than makes up for any little inconvenience like that. Everything is provided, down to dishes for your pet, to cooking spray to little flavored coffee creamers. Nice claw foot tub with a huge rain shower head which we enjoyed.

Fantastic place for a getaway with the Brown County State Park and Nashville easy drives away! Clean and comfortable with the fire and hot tub as excellent amenities.

Great weekend or weeklong getaway! Bathroom was nicer than expected and the hot tub was wonderful. It is close enough to Nashville, IN to enjoy all the amenities but far enough away to enjoy some solitude.

This was our second stay, if this says anything.. The hot tub had a maintenance needed glitch to fix for the first night but by the next day the hot tub was in full swing for soaking. We both love staying there and will return, our cat comes along also. It is pet friendly.

a nice, quiet getaway. we liked that we had limited connectivity during our stay. my work phone (at&t) had one-two bars and my personal phone had 0. i used my personal hotspot when my husband had to hop on zoom.

we drove to the cabin after a recent snow storm and the driveway was plowed. it snowed while we were there and i was expecting to shovel the driveway but the driveway was plowed again! thank you! our dinky 2008 civic would have had a hard time getting out.

Spacious with a lovely and well stocked kitchen! Hot tub was a delight. Also so great restaurants nearby in downtown Nashville. Really a fun mix of remote and isolated but still close to high quality dining and activities! We would recommend it to any couple seeking a romantic getaway but also to families with kids as it definitely would sleep more than 2.

Quaint little cabin in the woods that was perfect for our little getaway from the year that keeps on giving! Fulfilled everything on our wishlist; cabin, semi-secluded, hot tub, better-stocked kitchen than I expected, only an hour away from Indianapolis. Clearly, cleanliness was a top concern as the place was immaculate. Again, the amenities exceeded even what was listed. The property and surrounding areas looked great in what was the beginning of a southern Indiana October.
