Harper Valley Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay. Cottage was clean, comfortable, close to downtown and restaurants. Couple miles to state park. We would definitely stay again.

Harper Cottage was just as the listing said it would be. We had a bad snow storm during our stay, but had the weather been nicer/warmer, the cottage is an easy walk into Nashville or to the Hard Truth Distillery. Due to the snow storm we had to extend our stay. Eric was great at letting us know our safety was a priority and not making us feel rushed to risk the drive home earlier than we would’ve felt comfortable doing. Would definitely recommend Harper Cottage to others!

Lovely place! Very clean, organized, and full of the essentials. I was impressed with many thoughtful touches, like dogs bags by the door, well appointed and labeled kitchen, and plenty of blankets and pillows. We enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub too!

Great location and place!

Eric’s place was perfect for a quick little getaway! My boyfriend and I had stayed at another one of Eric’s properties before so we knew it would be a great experience. Check in instructions were very clear so we had no issues. The house was perfect and honestly, even cozier than I imagined! It’s next to other houses but still felt very private and peaceful. There’s lots of room to enjoy both in & outdoors and it’s super dog friendly! The house itself was spotless. Definitely the cleanest Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in! The kitchen was spacious and perfect for cooking breakfast in the morning and the living/bedrooms were very comfortable. We usually overpack especially when traveling with our dog, but we wouldn’t have even needed to this time because Eric’s place is fully equipped with everything you could think of. The hot tub was also incredibly clean! The house is so close to town, it was great being able to quickly pop back over. I don’t have a bad thing to say about this place!

Harper Valley Cottage was the perfect place to stay. It was very close to the downtown Nashville area with lots of shops and restaurants. It was right up the street from Hard Truth Distillery, and very close to Brown County State Park. This was the best spot for a quick getaway, we would stay here again!

We had a girls weekend and were concerned with 9 folks staying with only 1 bathroom but we had zero problems! The bathroom was large, the house was very clean and well furnished. Plenty of towels, well equipped kitchen. We felt very at home. Peaceful location and just down the road from the adorable shops, restaurants, coffee shops and wineries in Nashville, IN.

The cottage was one of the nicest we have stayed in. It has all the amenities you might need. A spacious, well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. The hot tub and firepit were wonderful in the cool evenings and the walk to town was very doable. All and all a great stay and we will definitely recommend it to friends.

House was beautiful with the three bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Kitchen is amazing. Had everything we needed and more. Even had firewood there for us to use. Overall highly recommend this place to all that want a relaxing getaway.

The owner was very helpful and accommodating. The place was clean,the beds were really comfortable and Kimberly was very helpful and welcoming. It was a great place to stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at this Airbnb. The space was incredibly clean, well-organized, and felt very comfortable from the moment we arrived. It’s clear the host puts a lot of effort into keeping the place tidy and welcoming. Another big plus was the location — it was close to so many things to do, including restaurants, shops, and local attractions, which made getting around super convenient.

That said, I was a bit disappointed that there was no clear communication about pricing adjustments. The final cost changed from what I initially expected, and I wish that had been explained more transparently ahead of time. There was an extra $30 charge per person per night that I was unaware of when reserving/paying for the space. Clearer communication would have made the experience feel a lot smoother.

Overall, we had a great time and would consider staying again for the cleanliness and location — just hoping for better transparency on pricing in the future.

This was a great place for a quick get away from the Chicago. Close to Brown County State Park for morning hikes. Great location for walking to downtown and Hard Truth Distillery. House was spacious and comfortable. Great place to bring your pups too.

WOW!! im never impressed with an AirBNB. we walked in and it was perfectly cleaned and smelled amazing. it was nicer than pictures. this house was stocked with anything and everything you could want or need. towels, blankets, kitchen utensils, pots, pans, kids cabinet, pack and play, dog accessories!!! needless to say we were impressed! Will be staying again!

We loved our stay at the cottage! it was very spacious and extremely clean. it was one of the best stocked, Airbnb kitchens I'd ever experienced.

Right outside of downtown Nashville it was not the cabin experience most expect out of Brown County, but for the little Nashville experience it is perfect!

We enjoyed a short spring break getaway from SOIN with our family. The house was even better than pictured! Loved the hot tub w/outdoor tv, checker table on patio, fire pit, decor, full list of amenities/extras for guests (minus the use of the washer/dryer), and lots of extra towels and robes! There were three rooms (not two as listed?), so that was a pleasant surprise! The location was great and super convenient getting around to the nearest attractions! It was just a little loud at times with road noise. Overall, it was perfect!

Best location to everything! We went to the Hard Truth Distillery and into downtown for all the shops. We loved the space we had and great memories were made!

This was a great little house in Nashville. It was well appointed, clean, close to town, and actually matched the photos. The hot tub was a great addition to our girls weekend. We had a decently heavy snow, and someone even came out to shovel the sidewalks and around our cars. Would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay! The cottage was conveniently located - even within walking distance of downtown. Everything inside was clean and appeared new. Eric provided lots of linens. Including robes for the hot tub! We appreciated all of the many amenities and the tasteful decor. The only struggle we had was with eight people sharing one bathroom, but we managed.

From the first time we stepped in to the cottage, we loved it! Spacious, clean, lots of amenities, we loved all the cute signs throughout. It made it feel so homey and warm. Plenty of seating in the living room and kitchen. Plenty of towels, and robes for the HOT TUB! VERY convenient location to town. We will have to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Harper Valley Cottage! The space was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the hot ton felt great after a day of hiking and mountain biking. We were close enough to downtown to walk and close enough to the state park to bike there for mountain biking. The home has nice appointments throughout. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a great stay as I have rented from Eric ALOT as moondance vacation homes though not through Airbnb.. be careful and make sure to check temp of hot tub before getting in as it was 111 on our first night and we could not get temp to drop it actually got to 114.. I had no idea they could get that hot.. they did come fix it the next afternoon.. also microwave would not work .. has a short or too strong for plug for the pluggin but as soon as you plug it in it shuts right back off .. I had extra guest as my son came to drop grand baby off and was not feeling well and decided to stay 1 night as we are from Indianapolis and the drive is an hour .. we did pay the difference of 2 extra guest for a night .. overall good stay close to Nashville .. and brown
county state park..

We had a ladies weekend getaway and this place could not have been more perfect! Kitchen was loaded with what we needed for meals, place was comfy (fire place extra plus!) comfy beds and we loved the hot tub. Downtown Brown County just minutes away.

The house was very well equipped with anything you need. Was also very clean and a very short drive (3 min) to town or possibly walk (we didn’t).
Only slight negative but not an issue was not all outlets worked. They did work on important areas like bathroom and kitchen.

Ladies weekend at Harper Valley Cottage was AMAZING! This gorgeous house was well stocked and very clean. Such a perfect location nestled just between downtown Nashville and Hard Truth Distillery. The large living room and kitchen gave us plenty of room to hang out for games and to sing karaoke. We were all ready to plan another trip after leaving.

Erics place was the perfect getaway. Just a few minutes from both downtown Nashville and Brown county state park it was the perfect location. The property had anything you could think of available so no need to run to the store for last minute items. The hot tub was great as well!! Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway.

This was the 2nd time we booked Harper Valley for a winter getaway. The cottage was a wonderful home away from home. Everything you needed was supplied and more. The location is walking distance from town and a short drive to Brown County State Park. We had our grandkids with us. They enjoyed playing the games provided and the gas fireplace. We had a Brown County Wedding and this was a perfect house for the Bride’s family to stay to prep. The bathroom was large and perfect for wedding prep, and the kitchen and fire pit were the perfect place for a small private rehersal chili bar for the family. We already plan to come back for our anniversary next year!

The cottage is very cozy and conveniently located to both Brown county state park and downtown Nashville. The kitchen is well stocked. Overall it is great as a landing spot after a full day of outdoor adventures or for staying in and relaxing.

This house was an excellent choice for our family getaway!! We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary and it was perfect. There were 7 of us and we had more than enough room. I was a little worried about only having one bathroom but it wasn’t a problem at all. The house was spotless and it had absolutely everything you could possibly need. I highly recommend this cottage and host!!

We stayed here for a friends bachelorette weekend and this cottage was the PERFECT place for our stay. The property was easy to find and right near the main strip of Nashville. The cottage had sweet southern charm and all the amenities you could possibly need for your getaway. Everything was clean and so many wonderful touches throughout the home. Corresponding with the rental property manager was a breeze and always responded to our inquires quickly. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway and we will definitely be back to Nashville AND this property in the future—we plan to make this an annual tradition!

This home is very well stocked from the appliances to the bath robes. Had a great time visiting Nashville and coming home to the hot tub. The place is located close to Nashville stores. The walk to stores would have been possible on a warmer day but we drove the short distance. Recommend staying here.

The house is about a 10 minute walk from downtown Nashville, but it's absolutely fabulous! They truly thought of everything you might need, and the amenities are just fantastic. Very clean and a great place to stay, especially if you'll be visiting both Hard Truth Hills and downtown wineries and don't want to have to worry about driving.

This place is great! It was spotless when we arrived and everything inside is well labeled. There is a nice fire pit outside and a cozy hot tub, and bbq grill. It was great to use the provided county park pass to get into Brown County Park! Overall you will not be disappointed staying here.

We loved everything about this cottage! Extremely clean and helpful labels and instructions on anything we might need to use. The attention to small details on items that might be helpful was impressive. It's just a few minutes from downtown and the distillery, but we also enjoyed the hot tub. We will definitely try to book here again if there's a repeat trip.

I highly recommend Harper Valley cottage. We had a wonderful stay! The house is very well appointed, super clean, with lots of nice, comfy touches. The large kitchen and living room made for a very comfortable setting for hosting family for a dinner as well as catching up on some work. And the porch is the perfect place to relax in the evening. I took advantage of the hot tub each morning and evening. The hot tub is super clean and located on the covered patio with thoughtful and decorative curtains so you feel comfortable with privacy. The host has everything you need from cookware, utensils, makeup wipes, shampoo, conditioner, towels, games, robes and even slippers! The cottage smelled great when I arrived and the decor is charming. Bed/furniture were very comfortable.

From the moment you walk into the cottage, you feel like you are home. The property is sparkling clean and all the drawers are neatly labeled, so you don't have to open up a bunch of drawers or cabinets to find plates and utensils. The hot tub appears to be very new and has Bluetooth capability, so you can listen to your favorite tunes while relaxing. We got a lot of use out of it and enjoyed doing puzzles and watching Netflix when the weather wasn't cooperating. This was one of the best places we've ever stayed and we left feeling very recharged!

This was a beautiful little cottage and a great getaway for our family of four with two young boys! The special touches were endless and the whole place has obviously been stocked and cared for by someone who knows exactly what is needed in a rental. Our boys loved the hot tub, record player and were delighted by stuffed animals left on their pillows. It was such a sweet place in a very central location.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean, very well appointed and decorated to perfection. The location was very good. We had a toddler with us so it was perfect for him. No worrying about stairs! All in all this house made our small Christmas family gathering everything we wanted and more!

We brought our 9-month old for his first visit to our special little county, this home was absolutely PERFECT for us. There were toys, kids utensils, and a cozy living room space for him to laugh and play. As far as the home itself goes, everything was clean, kept up and so nicely labeled. Harper Valley Cottage is beautiful, very clean and lots of room. It truly is just a 5 min walk to the center of town. I would highly recommend to everyone.
