My favorite place to stay. it's perfect. Very remote. Beautiful cabin. The hot tub is a plus. I wish I lived here

We are from Minnesota and travel to this area regularly because we have family in Martinsville. In the past, it has been very difficult to find an Airbnb so we usually opt for a mediocre hotel that makes our stay in the area less than comfortable. This time, my husband and I decided to fold a family visit into our anniversary trip and so it was just the two of us. Because it was our anniversary I wanted to have something nicer than a hotel. This cabin was PERFECT! It was beautiful, quiet, spacious and clean. I think its understated in the pictures! When we entered the cabin it was pristine. The kitchen is beautiful and well stocked. We grilled, we enjoyed the hot tub, we had a nice bonfire, and our pup had the best time running around the yard. The wrap around porch and outdoor areas are great. I can't wait to return and bring the rest of our family with us. I know they are going to have a great time!! We highly recommend.

It was a fantastic cabin for our family of four. We felt very remote, but it wasn’t a problem to get around to other places when we desired.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! everything was amazing. Just hard to find the driveway and cabin number, you can see it only on the left side on a tree. Other than that everything was great! Would love to have another trip there with my husband this time.

It was a nice relaxing little spot. Plenty of windows and natural lighting. Love the wrap around porch and fire pit. Overall it was a great stay. No reflection on the host but heads up - the google tv is difficult to navigate if you’re not familiar with them. Make sure you log out when you leave. WiFi can be a bit weak in some spots in the cabin which isn’t a big deal but you probably won’t have regular service for phone calls. Off the grid is what we were looking for so service was no concern. We visited the zip lines and hanging rock. It was a great hike and fun time on the screamer! Highly recommend!

Loved our time here. It was hot outside but AC worked great! GPS took us to the wrong address so be sure to follow directions. House number is posted on a tree by the driveway, but is not visible when approaching from NW. This home is in an extremely beautiful setting and is lovely inside. Eric was responsive to a leaky hot tub issue and maintenance attended to problem quickly. We love Brown County. This was our third time visiting the area.

Beautiful cabin in a great wooded area. Very serene, perfect for a relaxing weekend trip! We loved our stay and will be back again if we find ourselves in this part of Indiana again.

NOTE: if your car does not have four-wheel drive you may have trouble getting up the driveway, if you have the option to bring a burlier vehicle in your group, go with that one. we made it up in our Honda fit, but barely! wish we would have just brought the Subaru.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights for our honeymoon, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. The cabin was peaceful, spacious, and had everything we needed to relax after our wedding. We especially loved the hot tub—it was the perfect way to unwind in the evenings.

Our two dogs came with us and had a great time too! There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and we enjoyed being surrounded by nature.

We made s’mores by the fire pit one night, cooked a quiet dinner at home the next, and also had an amazing meal at Hard Truth Brewery (highly recommend). The cabin is just a short drive from Nashville, IN, so it was easy to pop into town but still feel totally tucked away.

Truly a cozy, peaceful, and memorable place. We’ll definitely be back!

Matched every wonderful thing mentioned in the description. So cozy, so peaceful. Note* If you've been to Brown County before, you know it's "hilly". The driveway of this property is a bit steep. Having a 4x4 vehicle was beneficial. Nonetheless, we were able to get the sedans up there.

We had an excellent time at the cabin. It was so peaceful and secluded. Didn't feel the need to venture any further than the front porch. It was exactly the sort of peaceful, relaxing time we were hoping for! Place was clean, easy to check in to, and had every amenity we needed.

I booked this for my wife and I's 5th anniversary as a first small getaway since we started our family. We did have an issue with the hot water not working when we arrived, but after messaging Eric, maintenance arrived within the hour and got it working on a Friday night with enough time left for us to make it to our anniversary dinner.

The weather for our weekend did not cooperate, unfortunately all of Nashville was without power most of Saturday, which in a way was perfect. We ended up spending more time at the cabin than we probably would have otherwise enjoying the hot tub in-between down pours of rain. Highly recommend this booking!

We would definitely recommend, as others have, to prepare for a steep drive up the lane to the cabin, oh and if you get a chance, check out Green Hill Diner in Morgantown, their beef is locally sourced and they use beef tallow for frying, but none of that matters, get the Popper Burger and be in heaven.

Prefect for a weekend getaway

The cabin was very nice! The area has lots of hills including the driveway to the home. Our sedan made it ok after a light rain, but in other conditions an all wheel drive vehicle may be helpful. It is quick to get to the main highway. The cabin was very clean overall. Staying in an authentic log cabin was interesting, I did notice sound travelled easily from room to room which may be a factor if traveling with a large group or children. The private location, hot tub and fireplace were the highlight of the trip for us. The only thing that we didn’t like was the bed, the metal frame was squeaky and we didn’t sleep well, although the mattress was fairly comfortable. I would advise bringing your own pillows too. Overall we had a geat relaxing weekend.

We came to hike Brown County State Park, and could not believe this beautiful cabin we also got to stay in! The surrounding woods made it the perfect private place to stay. The cabin was extremely clean when we arrived and the short drive to downtown Nashville made the location perfect!!

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was super clean and well-furnished, making us feel right at home in the quiet and beautiful surroundings. The jacuzzi was a delight, and the fire pit made our evenings very enjoyable.

The internet worked great, allowing us to work efficiently. Our only suggestion would be to find a way to reduce the noise from the air conditioning unit located outside the master bedroom.

Overall, this house is beautiful, and we had a fantastic week.

I stayed at the Brown County Log Cabin with my husband and 4 boys and we really enjoyed the visit! The cabin was super clean and everything was functional! The games and puzzles provided were a cute little surprise to find! My kids loved the Lincoln logs too! The hot tub was so nice to have ready to go! Very nice place not far from Nashville. Beautiful cabin.

This is a great place for someone trying to get out of a busy life, at least for a few days. It has all amenities one would expect in a regular home, but within a cabin environment. It is secluded and ideal for a personal retreat.

The Brown County Cabin was lovely, and Eric is a great host – he was always quick to answer our questions before and during our trip. Nashville – about a 15-20 minute drive from the cabin – has great restaurants and shops, and Brown County State Park is also easily accessible for hiking, swimming, and mountain biking. Although we didn't take any kids, we could definitely see this cabin and locale being a great place to bring them for a getaway.

Be aware that sound travels easily throughout the cabin on each floor, and light shines between the two bedrooms on the main floor. This is definitely not a deal breaker but worth knowing depending on the makeup of your group.

Overall we had a great stay at the cabin and appreciate Eric being a great host!

Our daughter got married at a winery near by and this was our accommodations for the time. Very nice and relaxing during the busy weekend.

Eric was a wonderful and responsive host. The cabin was private and beautiful and clean. The deck was a great place to hang out. And the fire pit in back was also a great place to relax after dark. It was about 20 mins to Nashville with lots of restaurants and shops. And a short drive to the remarkable architectural hotspot of Columbus, IN. Our dog loved it too! Thanks, Eric.

We had such a great stay at the cabin! Very relaxing quiet setting but the fire pit, porch rockers, outdoor hang out zones, and hot tub made for plenty of activities. The space was really beautiful and the floor to ceiling windows made you feel like you were in the forest even when you were hanging out inside.

Nashville is only a short drive away as well as a couple of beautiful countryside wineries. Can’t wait to return!

We really enjoyed our getaway in this beautiful cabin. It was exceptionally clean. Beds were comfortable. Perfect for a family getaway. Wish there was a laundry and a 2nd full bath on the first floor. Loft was great for the kids. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub.

We just needed a couple of nights outside of the city (Chicago) and this place was lovely (about 4 hours). It's not too far from Nashville, IN - a small town but packed with shops and restaurants - while the cabin is located in a place where you feel pretty isolated. Eric was stellar. I was so busy the week leading up to it, I kept emailing him over things he already told me, but he was fast to respond and so patient. The hot tub and porch were the best features. The main bedroom bed was super comfy. There was only two of us and our dog, but there is so much seating for more folks. The house is SPOTLESS and neat. He left a great guide book and we tried to go to the Indiana Stonehenge but the path was rained out. I guess that means we'll have to come back! Thanks, Eric!

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for a quiet get away with our two dogs. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs with queen beds. There is a nice room upstairs with bunkbeds but we didn't use it. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, skillets, etc. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with towels, paper towels, blankets, and extra pillows. The covered porch with rocking chairs was perfect for a rainy afternoon. It was a short drive to Nashville and Brown County State Park. We drove in everyday for hiking.

This is a great spot to feel completely removed despite only being an hour from Indianapolis. The cabin is exactly as pictured. The scenery is actually better than depicted, as the house sits isolated on a hill overlooking a valley.
Excellent choice for a weekend getaway or a short family vacation.

The only caution I would give is that, as it is a log cabin, you can hear everyone throughout the entire cabin.

Surround windows make you feel like your just nestled in the woods!

Relaxing place in the woods, have to drive a bit if you plan on eating out, but the local food places are all very solid.

We had a wonderful stay at the Brown County Cabin. Everything was as advertised and even more. This cabin was beautiful. We had a Mom's weekend getaway and it was just what we needed. We even woke up to the beautiful white snow. This cabin is very spacious and we had plenty of room for us all. This cabin was stocked with everything you could need and more. The drive was just 10-15 minutes to the heart of Brown County. We will definitely be booking this cabin again next year.

This cabin is a hidden gem. It’s close enough to town but very private and enjoyable. There is plenty of space, outdoor space and room to relax and unwind. The kitchen is well appointed and between that and the grill you can enjoy some home cooked meals. We can’t wait to come back.

Super comfortable! The cabin is clean and modern - the photos online don’t do it justice. There is plenty of room for parking (our group had 3 cars and no problems with that) and the host is responsive. The beds are comfy and the wrap around porch is so nice! We enjoyed the hot tub too.

The cabin is also just a short drive from all that Nashville, Indiana has to offer as well as two nearby state parks. The wrap-around patio was a great place to sit and have morning coffee. My husband, kids and I stayed here over the weekend for our wedding in Morgantown. It was clean, a good size for everyone and close to our venue.

To echo many other reviews, this cabin is a beautiful retreat. Conveniently located for our last minute family escape. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the atmosphere of the cabin, deck, & hot tub in the evenings. Our full day in the area was great and we quickly found our way into Nashville/BC State Park (15-20 drive from the cabin).

Another review had mentioned wasps being in the cabin. We reached out to Eric before booking who confirmed pest control was coming out before our stay. It definitely helped, though a few were able to make their way in both days. We noticed them starting a new small nest outside by the large French doors leading to the deck, and when we avoided using that door the stopped having issues. For being in the woods in spring we expect to have exposure to these types of bugs - we are “camping” in style after all!

We had friends join us one evening to grill some burger & hot dogs (the grill is in great shape), and our two toddlers had so much fun running around and around the wraparound porch. It didn’t take them long to explore upstairs to find a bucket of Lincoln logs in the loft and bunk bed room. Very kid friendly set up was great!

Our husky also enjoyed her time. There were a few cables near the deck and near the campfire area we were able to use.

We can’t wait to return! And hope to make this a once or twice a year escape.

Cabin is easy to find. Quiet area. Close to Nashville and Edinburgh. Property was clean. Enjoyed the grill and hot tub.

The cabin is very nice and clean and in a great location, close to Nashville. The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. If you want firewood, either purchase it yourself in town or request it from Eric 2 days in advance. Because it's a log cabin there is basically no sound insulation between rooms and the bathrooms have barn doors which are not as private as I would prefer. Eric responded quickly to my questions. All in all, a great stay.

The cabin was overall great! Love the location, remote, private, but close enough to Nashville! All amenities were there and in good condition. We had rainy weather so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor space as much as we wanted to, but plan to rent again within the next few months!!

Beautiful cabin. Well stocked with kitchen appliances. You will need to bring basics (sugar, flour, etc) if you plan on cooking. Beautiful property. However, there are not any walking areas on the 5 acre property & that is not disclosed until check in information is sent.

This perfect cabin served as our holiday family meeting spot this year. Our son is in the Army and this place is in between him and us. Spent three nights and enjoyed every memorial moment with his family, getting to know our two grandchildren! Did a few things away from the cabin, but next time would do less of that and more campfires, hot tub, grilling, and just hanging out at this fantastic place!!

Very nice place! Love the added touch for the tie out for the pups outside, which being pet friendly already is an added bonus. I really wish I could have stayed longer because this place is beautiful! Fireplace is so warm and inviting especially since it was horribly cold when we came. Eric was quick to communicate back with one item we called about and resolved the issue quickly. Hope to stay again soon!

This was a beautiful cabin with amazing amenities such as a hot tub, great fire pit, and fully stocked kitchen. It was a nice getaway and nice and secluded!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Brown County Cabin. Pet friendly with all the amenities you’d ever need. It was only the two of us and our dog but I could see how two small families could vacation together with no real issues. The upstairs bunk area would be a perfect hangout for kids. I could go on and on. It was just what we needed to get away from the city and disconnect.

We had a great visit and can’t wait to come back. Quiet, comfortable place with all that we needed to have a relaxing escape from our busy lives.

We just finished our stay at the Brown County Log Cabin, a much-needed vacation from the prison cell that our house has seemingly become over these past several months. The cabin was astonishing. It was secluded, surrounded by trees, had a well-maintained hot tub and everything our family needed to enjoy some time disconnected from everything. The cabin was spotless and in great shape when we arrived. The wrap around porch was used frequently as we sat outside and enjoyed nature. Again we couldn't be more pleased with our stay and the quality of the cabin we rented. I completely recommend MoonDance Vacation Rentals. We will be back.

Even though this cabin is only ten minutes from downtown Nashville, IN, it sets back off the road and feels very private and secluded. It is beautifully furnished and easily sleeps six. It also has a super nice hot tub and a fire pit.

Amazing cabin close to downtown Nashville and Brown County State Park. Family friendly...great for weekend get aways! Can't wait to visit again!
